It's alright for picking up something you forgot on your weekly Walmart trip. Pricing is ok on most things, it's not big enough nor cheap enough to be a main source of food and goods.
This store in particular seriously suffers staffing issues and has for years. It’s not uncommon to find one cashier handling an entire store full of people. The self checkout alleviated congestion but keeps breaking down.
The other glaring issue is that things go out of stock quick and there’s no telling when it will be back. Constantly full of stocking pallets in the aisles and boxes littered around.
I didn’t realize how bad it was until I stopped in DG stores elsewhere in the area....
Read moreAbsolute mess and chaos. You can't move through the aisles for things in the floor. An insurance nightmare. Could easily fall over items. Dirty floors even when the doors open at 8. Management should never let employees go at night until floor is cleaned up. And speaking of management apparently she has to bring her kids to work with her which is understandable right now since they can't go to school but at least have them to sit still somewhere and not play ball in the store knocking things off the shelves. And they shouldn't be playing with the pricing guns either. Science Hill needs a Dollar General with good employees this...
Read moreThey have a lot of things in the store they're very friendly and reasonably priced their dollar aisle is wonderful you'll have to check it out sometime they always have things in season and have sales all the time clothes that I paid $85 for at Kroger they had on sale for $10 check them out sometimes they also have coupons on the receipts and calling and fill out one of their surveys you have a chance to win gift card plus you get another coupon on some of them that requires their survey to be filled out for the next time you go in...
