I am a truly regular visitor to this place and they can't get rid of me as a customer even if they tried. I have been a fan for about 5 years now. I am a diehard fan of their milkshakes and my wife also loves their broccoli cheddar poppers. Overall though, the food is always fantastic. You can even call your order in ahead of time, which is a major plus. I can't say I've ever had a truly bad experience. The parking on site is not marked, but there is roughly room for about 6-7 customer cars if everyone parks correctly on their lot. If there are too many customers there is an abandoned storage facility across the street that often gets used as overflow parking. This place is very popular and regularly has people parking across the street due to the lot often being full.
This is meant to be an honest review and so I must list the few downsides I have experienced. •When calling in, the staff answering the phone can sometimes come off a little rough. Having spoken to everyone at one point or another however, they are not that way in person. I believe they stay so busy that they are often times rushed off the phone to do other tasks. •Due to their popularity, if you show up and they have multiple people in line, expect to wait a few extra minutes. Having only one order window does slow down the process of taking order, but luckily they do about as well as I could expect them to given how busy their peak times are. •My absolute biggest gripe with this location is the fact that they don't take card. I wish they would get square or something similar as having to always have cash on hand is frustrating sometimes. They could even have a slight charge, say $0.25 for card transactions to offset the income lost for processing. I love this place so much that I regularly incur a $3 atm fee just to be able to order here.
Despite the minor cons listed, do go here. Go try their food, talk to with locals and staff. You will...
Read moreWent yesterday evening for the first time. We had ice cream & enjoyed it, especially for the price. Plenty of outdoor seating, although parking was a challenge. Very slow service due to only having one window for orders & line was backed up through the parking lot. If they could run at least 2 windows for order taking, that would help a ton; have to imagine they lose business due to this. I tripped & almost fell twice; once due to what appears to be a spout or vent cover that sticks up out of the ground & has been painted gray to match the rest of the area. VERY bad idea; it's dangerous enough to have something sticking up out of the ground in a public area, but to camouflage it is very hazardous. The other problem areas are the uneven dips in the parking lot, which I again stumbled over. Please know I am not elderly & do not have any sort of balance issue in which I experience this on a regular basis, so this is a true concern. This little place would be an easy 5 stars if not for the parking issue, slow service, & condition of the parking lot & the concrete in the...
Read moreStopped the other day for my first chocolate soft serve of the season (the only thing I’ve ever had there) but the machine had overheated so they were only making shakes. So I tried a chocolate malt (delicious) and then decided to try their fish sandwich, with fries and coleslaw. Honestly, it was the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. Nice and crispy, fresh fried and not from a freezer that that I could tell, a delicious and slightly sweet toasted bun, and I had it with cheese and pickles—and tartar sauce (which may have even been homemade). All unbelievably good! Homemade fries as well. I think I paid like $12 which beats fast food places for the same thing. Now it will be a test of willpower to not go more regularly for one of those fish sandwiches! Thank you for a...
