We had not been able to enjoy our backyard for at least the last 6 years fully due to when it rained, at least 1/3 of the backyard was standing water and mud which took days to dry out and become usable again. Then last year we got a puppy, and it became worse because he could not play in the backyard because he would get filthy and would bring the mud into the house. This past winter, starting in February 2024, I started researching local landscape companies who could fix our problem. Most of what I found were landscaping companies who did drainage work as an option and when they came onsite to have a walk-thru and provide proposals they were not concise and 100% sure what to do. One thing I knew is we never got water in our basement, and I did not want any landscape company to cause that to start to happen (if they did not route the downspouts or our French drain properly). I then found Ince Landscaping upon further researching local drainage companies. There are a few things I liked about them, they did landscape drainage work as one of their primary jobs, not a secondary job. Matt was very responsive to my initial inquiries and came onsite when he stated he would (professional and prompt). We then agreed to the project and signed the contract. As a bonus, a opening happened in their schedule and they started our job weeks early which meant the new grass had a better chance of taking root (since being done in very early Spring) and we (and our dog) would be able to enjoy the yard sooner this summer.
Attached are a few 'before' and 'after' pictures of our yard.
I would highly recommend Ince Landscaping 100% for anyone having drainage issues...
Read moreWe have hired Ince Landscape multiple times in the last 4 years for major and medium sized projects. Time and time again, we return to Ince because of Matt and his team - their knowledge, friendliness, amazing work, and ability to solve yard issues for us from big to small. Over the years we have had poison ivy removed, trees removed, drainage installed and connected to downpipes, installation of surface drains and pavers, pitchwork, gutting and replacement of overgrown gardens, trees planted, and even rotting root removal and backfill of a specific type of dirt in the middle of a renovation. Matt also worked alongside a geotechnical engineer for us when it was needed. There have been times where we have felt lost about next steps, and Matt has come in with calmness and clear solutions. Several times we have validated Matt's suggestions with other companies and he always comes in with the solid recommendation by comparison and we have seen his work play out over time to know he knows his stuff. We trust Matt as an indispensable contractor for our home and recommend him to anyone needing major landscape...
Read moreWe very much enjoyed working with Matt of Ince Landscape Construction. He was professional, personable and pleasant to work with. From day one, Matt listened to our concerns (which I guess were many!) and answered all of our questions as they came up. His easy and friendly manner gave us confidence that he and his crew could tackle the job well. Our entire front lawn was not only a rather steep slope, but was also a sea of many vines, including poison ivy! What seemed like an impossible job to us, was done by the crew within the time frame Matt had proposed. Several tree stumps needed to be ground up and finally a lawn created. Because we wanted all native plantings in front of the house, Matt also engaged his great “plant guy”, Mark, who worked closely with us and went the extra mile to find native plants that we had envisioned. Matt’s crew also built us a stacked stone retaining wall we asked for and put in landscape lighting that Matt suggested (and which we hadn’t thought of). We are thrilled with the end result and cannot wait to see the plantings...
