A typical place for snacks, drinks and magazines that you’d find at a highway reststop or gas station — but priced like it’s in an airport terminal. $15 beef jerky, $9 for a 3 oz bag of chips, $7 for a bottle of juice. $5 for Swedish Fish. $6 for a bag of Combos. Probably a reflection of the super high rent NJ Transit charges this place but still, yikes. Usual selection of soft drinks, beer, grab & go yogurts and hummus, magazines and newspapers, lotto tickets, ice cream, etc.
Update: I came in here a few weeks ago on my way home with an upset stomach. Grabbed a travel-sized pack of Pepto chewables and the cashier wanted $11 for it! I left it. Same exact item...
   Read moreFaber News Now is ostensibly a nice little newsstand, convenience store, lottery tickets vending, and magazines store located conveniently in Secaucus Junction Train Station. The trouble is, while it has the convenience of being in a transit hub, it doesn't have convenient prices, not to mention many items with unlisted prices, and even items with listed prices that don't ring up as such at the register. The dunking donuts staff pretend to not speak English when I put in my order. Then when she turned to the two other women working telling them what my order was one walked away and the other said I had to wait. She wasn't helping anyone or making food....
