We LOVE Gunnar's! This place is a hidden gem - what a delight to have it in the quiet town of Sedan. We are not from the area, but make a point to go there each time we're in town. My husband replenishes his bourbon and the family gets to enjoy lunch or dinner. I'm not a huge bourbon drinker, but their cocktail menu is diverse and accommodating to all - from bourbon on the rocks to a summery drinks like the strawberry limeade bourbon cocktail. They've got options. The food is generally very good, although some dishes are better than others. The chili is delicious! The desserts are ridiculously good. We like their burgers and sandwiches as well. Their BBQ is okay (but our baseline is KC BBQ, so that's hard to beat). Their philly wrap would be better on a hoagie and, at times, their wings are so smothered in sauce it's hard to enjoy them. A few minor tweaks could really elevate their menu. Anyway it was a good tour and yummy tastings!! The place is in an old historic hotel. Mash for makings comes from a local in South central KS! Come...

Food tastes very good, and they have a nice variety. Service can be “hit or miss” as is the industry standard. Only real negative is that if your credit card is charged incorrectly the refund takes time, while the restaurant obviously wants their money immediately. Overall you should try them and see how nice the old building now looks. Just watch your bill for correctness. Buy a bottle to take home and enjoy the...
