Iām sure anyone who suffers from AHDH knows the typical hoops you have to jump through in order to get your prescription medication filled. As I type this, Iām currently three days without my medication. Itās not a huge deal, but there is a significant difference when Iām on it. I had my usual prescription filled at this location last month. My doctor filled my script for a refill two days ago. However, for whatever reason this pharmacy requested verification from my doctors office. Not a big deal, this type of treatment is typical. Moving on, earlier this morning I received a call from my doctorās office. They informed me that my medication had been verified. Again this has already been three days since I originally opted to have my prescription filled at this location. When I called the pharmacist with this information. He explained to me that my prescription had not been verified yet. I explained to him that it had. The next few minuets were a bit surreal. I would explain to the pharmacist that he was wrong. Where he would say that he was right. Until it got to the point where he asked someone in the background if the prescription had been verified. They affirmed that it had been. After arguing with me and subsequently being proven wrong by one of his coworkers. Instead of apologizing for his behavior, he stated that I need to give them more time to do their job. Keeping in mind itās been three days since I started the process of refilling this script with the only progress that seemed to be made was due to my individual, I was bit put off by the entire experience. All I could manage in response is that Iām a patient at this pharmacy and that he should not speak to me that way. His response was, before hanging up on me was to say that, āyou are not going to have your script filled here.ā When I called my doctorās office with this information. I was informed that the pharmacist lied about their reasoning for refusing a script was due to where I lived. This was not an issue last month.
TL;DR After losing an argument they started. Pharmacist refuses a patient medication and then lies about their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by saying the reason I gave it 1 star is for the pharmacy. Matt and Pang are always a pleasure to do business with. Itās close to my home, so if Iām on my way home. Iāll stop in for a few things. Now, Iāve been getting the same prescription filled there for over a year. I normally use a CVS for prescriptions but after consulting my insurance, I found that for this particular medicine, it was less expensive at Walgreens. My Dr, whom Iāve had for awhile and is the one who did my procedure and writes my prescription is in another town. But like I said. Itās close to my home so I fill it there. This pharmacist, I donāt know her name. But she is blonde and probably around 50ish. Has not only given me a hard time about filling it. But Iāve spoken to others about her and they too have had issues with her. She is rude. She told me she didnāt feel comfortable filling my prescription because the Dr was in 1 county over the bridge. She acts like she owns the place and why I get this medicine is none of her business. So yesterday she refused to fill it. Not only did she refuse to fill it, she told everyone in the waiting area my personal business via the phone in drive thru. She violated my Hippa rights and embarrassed me beyond measure. I have made a report to corporate and will definitely follow through with my complaint. Btw, I drove to the Walgreens on Duhme rd and they had no problems with filling it. So itās obviously personal. Iāve never been rude to her until yesterday. I will go back to the store itself, but she will never touch another prescription from me. And I intend to get her name for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just want to say that the pharmacy departmentās pharmacist Is one of the most disrespectful people Iāve ever talked to. We had an issue with a prescription that one of my family members needed to get and he proceeded to badger her about what she should be, and shouldnāt be taking. She has a long history of illness, and has been on medication of that nature for many years, and he proceeded to make her feel as if she was insignificant and then hung up on her after he laughed in her face on the phone, I donāt think this pharmacist should have a job if he is going to sit there and try to play God to his customers and then laughs in their faces and tell them that their medicines arenāt good for them. Itās none of his business what medicine anybody is prescribed by a doctor, his job is to either fill, or non-fillā¦. not to go on record with anyone. I will be taking this to the highest superior for Walgreens, because his blatant disregard for her needs, and the demeaning way he hung up and laughed in her face was...
