Town Talk Florist — Local services in Senatobia

Absolutely the worst florist I ever dealt with, on August 26 I ordered flowers for a funeral. I confirmed my credit card had gone through and we were all set to deliver flowers by 11:00 am August 27 . The florist confirmed we were all set . At 11:10 on August 27 the sales clerk called to say they were having a problem with my order. I said this seemed like a poor way to run a business when the flowers were supposed to have been delivered and I confirmed yesterday we were all set . The clerk took great offense and said I could go to the other florist in town. I asked to speak to the owner/ she told me she was the owner - named “Matilda” . She hung up on me several times. The apparent real owner called me back “Kathy Spencer “ she asked if there was a problem and I explained what happened- she said if I didn’t like it I could go elsewhere / which left me no time to deliver to the funeral service. I received a gift plant ordered from Town Talk from my sister-in-law who lives in Pennsylvania. The ceramic planter--with no drain hole-- arrived with six plants crammed into it. After a couple of days, two of the plants began to die, apparently because of overcrowding. I finally had to separate the plants, leaving one of them in the original pot. Without a drain hole, I have to guess at how much water to give that plant. The entire arrangement was poorly done, and I advised my sister-in-law to never order anything from Town Talk again. Called to ask about an arrangement to be made for a funeral that was going to be held on Friday, Feb. 14. I realize it was during the Valentine's Day rush, but the person answering the phone was very blunt and almost rude, replying "No, can't do it" when I asked if they would be able to make an arrangement for that Friday. I can't state as to their quality as it appears from other reviews that they do beautiful work. I know they were probably busy and had a full load, but could have been more professional and polite in their response. No one chooses when...
