On the plus side very friendly staff, reasonable price, challenging design, good carts, decent menu. Green shapes are fairly simple and on the medium to slightly less than average size. Are usually fairly well protected with two or three bunkers, often deep. Sand was somewhat inconsistent. All greens are somewhat elevated or on hilltops but very few false fronts or sides. The greens are supposed to be bent but there is a lot of grain to them. The grain is largely downhill so there is a vast difference between uphill and downhill putts. Downhill roll out and even after 3 days of playing this course I had a hard time getting uphill putts to the hole due to the grain. There just shouldn't be that degree of difference in green speeds.
Fairways were in fairly good shape for the time of season but the course could have used a little more watering to keep it a bit greener. There were some thin areas in the fairway and in general the course was very firm. You should be able to work the ball both ways and especially be able to put a fade on it from some of the tea boxes to get around corners without running through the fairway. I think there were five tee boxes so you can play about any length you want. The driving range was pretty poor but you could at least hit all of your clubs. There was water on the course but no halfway house other than a pop machine. You do not return to the clubhouse until the 18th hole. If they could fix the green speed I would...

Read moreHave played here a few times a year for the past several years charged the local rate which was suppose to include food and a couple off drinks. Golf course is in decent shape greens are slow which is expected this time of year but overall good. Went to bar before round purchased beverages for the round got a free cooler but couldn’t wait for food because they were busy and we had to tee off so young lady said we will be here when you get done. Finished at 4:30 and the older lady I believe manager was rude and said food is not available I’ve been here since 6:00 am like it was our fault. Then proceeded to argue with us about whether we were told or not about food not being available. If it’s isn’t available that’s fine but you charged each of us for it so basically that would be like charging me for a tee time then saying sorry we are closed with no refund. No thanks happy about it so be cautious and make sure you get what...
