I’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this business. I purchased a $100 gift card for my daughter as a Christmas gift, a thoughtful gesture meant to support a local business. Unfortunately, the physical card was accidentally discarded. When I reached out to explain and asked if they could verify the purchase through their records (as any reputable business would), I was met with resistance and dismissiveness.

What’s most frustrating is that I wasn’t asking for a refund or a favor — I was simply asking them to stand by their own records and honor a legitimate purchase. Instead, the owner refused to speak with me directly and had the front desk staff relay the denial, avoiding the responsibility of addressing the situation personally. That lack of professionalism and unwillingness to problem-solve speaks volumes.

Even worse, when I first called, I was told this could be resolved — only to have that promise completely walked back later. That’s not just poor service, it’s misleading and unfair.

In today’s world, digital records make it easy to track transactions. Businesses everywhere are able to verify gift card purchases and reissue them if something goes wrong. To simply refuse without even attempting to help is not only bad customer service, it shows a clear lack of care for customers and community loyalty.

For a service-based business in a tight-knit area like Severna Park, this kind of treatment is unacceptable. Local businesses rely on trust, relationships, and goodwill. I decided to try the salt cave one day while a friend had a facial and I really enjoyed it. I wasn’t sure if it did anything but I did find it very relaxing so I went a couple of more times. Then I got a really bad sinus infection and a persistent cough that was lasting weeks and did not show signs of going away anytime soon. One day I could not stop coughing and remembered that the salt cave was supposed to help with sinus and respiratory issues. I was desperate for some relief. I decided to try the salt cave that day and thankfully they had an opening later that afternoon. If it didn’t help at all I was going to call my doctor on Monday to try to get an antibiotic. I went to the salt cave and I noticed about 15 minutes in that I stopped coughing. By the end of the session the cough was soo much better. I was barely coughing at all over the next few days but still had some congestion so I decided to make another appointment a few days later. I went again and honestly my cough never returned. I still had a little congestion but very minor. I can honestly say the salt cave worked to clear up whatever I had and I have recommended it to many other friends who have gotten the same cough this year. I was recently given a gift card for Face It! Spa and Wellness. I chose to do the All Inclusive facial and added on the Salt Cave. This was my first visit to this spa and my experience started as soon as I walked in. I was greeted warmly and shown to the changing room where I was given a luxurious robe (I want one for my own!), smock, towel and slippers. I was shown to the salt cave for my 30 minute session. I started breathing better (allergy sufferer) and was so relaxed by the time I was finished - definitely a MUST to add on to any appointment!

Next I was escorted to my facial service with Macey. The room was relaxing and inviting and very comfortable. Macey was very knowledgeable, friendly and made sure I understood the different elements of my facial. I asked for her recommendation(s) on my skin and she obliged. I proceeded to receive one of the best facials I have ever received. I felt 100% confident that Macey knew exactly what she was doing and my skin showed it when I left.
