Setup a time for a free trail via email. Was told it was a three day trial for locals. I show up a little before 10 am, the time I was told were staff hours, and wait outside for 10 minutes until my call is finally answered and the door is unlocked. I go to the desk to sign in to begin my 3 days and I'm told, very dryly, it's actually $50 to pay for a key. I was not told this prior. I was going to leave but I was told I could have a one day pass. I had to drive 25 minutes so I settled. The gym is clean. The artificial fragrance is OVERWHELMING to say the least. I saw written signs of rules everywhere. Many of them including fees for miscellaneous things. I just did half of my average routine and left as I'm sensitive to strong scents.
Overall clean gym. Everything you need for a good workout. Staff seemed indifferent and slightly annoyed. The whole environment of the gym made me feel like an untrustworthy child that had to be constantly told how to behave properly with all the signs posted. The $50 key fee was never told to me until I showed up ready to exercise. This experience led me to believe this gym would be untrustworthy to do anymore...
Read moreFirst and foremost, this gym is clean and in good repair. Its main detriment isn't that it's small, I've been to smaller Anytime Fitness gyms and they've been fine, but this gym is suffocating. Even if I was here alone, it feels like the equipment is always almost atop me.
Ironically, to that detriment, it seems a popular place because on a rando Monday nights at 10pm it was packed on a seemingly date night for the amount of couples in attendance. But it makes it really hard to move freely when you are doing anything other than machines.
The most egregious is in the free weight area which is bisected by a squat rack meaning any more than 1 person per side in the little square I space marked out, means ppl are literally working out atop each other.
A simple rearrangement, perhaps getting rid of the aforementioned 4th squat rack to open up the free weight section, could really improve the overall flow of this otherwise nice gym.
Oh, and chuck the Smith Machine, it's poorly located and this is Tennessee, not Boston full of soft New Englanders. Man or woman, real work gets done here, and the Smith is...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I recently visited this Anytime Fitness during a vacation to Gatlinburg, and we couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Initially, we considered going to Planet Fitness (we have the black membership already) but had trouble getting information/help over the phone, and the times weren’t feasible. After reaching out to Anytime Fitness, we received a prompt callback from the owner, Jordan, who was phenomenal. He offered to stay a bit later to accommodate us and helped set up a couple of days for us to enjoy the gym. The entire experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great workout while traveling. You can tell he takes great pride in his gym and I'm really glad we stopped by. We couldn't be happier with...
