Extremely Disappointed with Service

To anyone looking for a good plumber, this is NOT THE ONE!!! Please read We recently hired “Jl and F” to fix the a leak in the pipes, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, they provided a quote that seemed reasonable, but by the end of the project, they tried to charge us over $200 more than the original estimate. This was despite the fact that they didn't even complete the job properly. Our bathroom was left with a leak in the pipes, and when we confronted them, they admitted that the task was too complex for them. To make matters worse, when they came to discuss the issue, they brought a woman along to try to intimidate my mother. We had to threaten legal action just to get them to honor the original quote. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and professional service. To clarify, I was never on the side of Jl and F as they claimed in their review. The only time I told my mother to stop was before I fully understood the extent of their attempts to scam her. Once I realized what was happening, I immediately came to the door and watched the situation closely, prepared to step in if necessary. The woman they brought along was clearly trying to intimidate my mother, and I was ready to intervene if needed. Thankfully, it didn't come to that, but the entire experience was deeply unsettling, frightening, and unprofessional. If you could maybe try and wrap your dense head around that for me, Jesse, it would be greatly appreciated! Additionally, in their review, they blatantly lied by saying we called them every name under the sun. We have a ring camera recording of the entire interaction, which proves we did not call them a single name. Which also proves how these foolish people are very fraudulent. Hopefully, their company does better in the future so they don’t have to resort to scamming people and charging them $200 over the original estimate they quoted. Moreover, their response was poorly constructed and lacked coherence, resembling something written by someone with limited language skills. It might be beneficial for them to consider taking an English course to improve their communication. Consequently, my mother is now obliged to hire another plumber to replace a valve, a task that Jesse was unable to complete. Very sad, very pathetic,...

Jesse responded almost instantly to our late-afternoon-Monday request to check out a leak in our utility room, which turned out to be the 20+ year old water heater. He quoted us some $$ numbers and made arrangements to return the next day with replacement equipment which he then installed over the next day-and-a-half (WH, water softener & gas line upgrades).

I appreciate that Jesse took the time to explain things some of the more curious among us like to know, including how even the tiniest leak that quickly evaporates and isn't enough to make anything wet can be hugely problematic given the right conditions (looking at you, old water softener, with your salty air corroding my brass...). Small Leaks Matter, folks: call your plumber (highly recommend JL&F Plumbing, btw).

We appreciate how quickly JL&F responded to our "emergency" and how quickly we were back up and running with hot (and softened) water.

Plumbing emergencies always happen at the most inopportune time. The price for after hours and weekends is usually a lot higher. That wasn't the case with JP & F. They came out on the Sunday of Memorial day weekend and made quick work of the problem in my gray line. Not only that, they took the time to go above and beyond to check out the rest of the system and give me some solid advice on how to maintain it.

They didn't overcharge me and they were in no rush to make sure the job was done right and to my satisfaction. They had every piece of equipment with them to do the job and it was all well maintained and in good working condition. It was reassuring to know that no matter what they found wrong with my system, they would be prepared to fix it properly. Very courteous and professional.
