We lost my dad very unexpectedly last month in a tragic incident that left us in complete shock. My two sisters and I were the ones who had to plan his funeral, as he was not married. We had absolutely no idea where to begin with funeral planning. We chose White Funeral and Cremation and scheduled an appointment. From the very first phone call to the very end, they were incredibly professional and compassionate. Shawna sat the three of us down, explained everything in great detail, made us smile, and offered her honest opinions whenever we asked. To keep a long story short, we were very anxious to get my dad back as we approached the two-week mark after his passing. When we received a call from the ECU autopsy center at 2 PM, I assumed the funeral home wouldn’t be able to go pick him up that same evening—but I was wrong.    Read moreFrom the moment we called White Funeral Home and spoke to Mr. White, we knew we had found the right place to take care of my brother. The gentlemen who came out to my brother’s home after he passed arrived quickly and made us feel confident that he was in gentle hands. We worked with Shawna Sanders on the paperwork in the office and she made it all quick and easy for us. She was extremely kind and considerate in handling the details. She even hand delivered my brother’s urn and death certificates to our home. Losing someone you love is never easy, but White Funeral Home and Cremation Services treated us with the utmost respect and compassion every...

When my sister passed, My family and I met with Shawna. She made a difficult situation simple and assisted us with everything that was needed. As a result of meeting with her I was able to bring back with me cultivating ideas on I could better serve the families that I see.
Her staff, especially Melissa Wilkes, were just as helpful and caring as Shawna. My sister Wanda Triplette would have been forever grateful.
From one Funeral Director to another thank you for all that you do to assist families in...
