Dollar General — Local services in Shallowater

Absolutely disgusted by how I was treated in the store. Just went inside for a few items. The person with me forgot a mask, so he was asked to leave when we got in line. Remind you we are all human and can forget things. He would have been fine about it if the Cashier wasn't so rude. The cashier, very rudely said that he needed to either get a mask by the door or get in the vehicle and wait. So he walked out and I stayed in line because I had my mask. While I was waiting in line, I didn't say a word and was minding my own business. The cashier told me I needed to leave. I asked why when I didn't do anything wrong? I was wearing a mask the whole entire time. I was told that I needed to control my boyfriend that I was with. I didn't respond. It was my turn to check out. The lady kept harassing me about the guy I was with. I kept reminding her I didn't do anything wrong and I was following the rules. She then told me we were not allowed back. I said I would like to take it up with a manger because I was following the rules and didn't do anything. She said she was the manager. I was in complete shock is. She has zero customer service skills. This whole situation could have been handled a lot more professionally and we wouldn't have had any problems. I ended up telling her I will take it up with corporate instead. I canceled my order at the register and walked out. I was completely disgusted by how I was treated. I got in my vehicle and told the person I was with what happened inside. He went back to the door didn't go inside and told the lady she had no right to treat me the way she did when I did nothing wrong. She then came to the doorway and said she was going to call the cops while taking down her mask. Didn't she just say we have to wear a mask? That's where all of this started in the first place so why would she take off her mask? After that we left and won't be coming back. I have heard several locals on Facebook pages complain about how they have been treated in this store. There are boxes everywhere. Shelves aren't stocked and the manager is not professional. I will gladly take my service to the locally owned market instead where we know we will be treated right. While we went to the local market we found out the person behind the register was also kicked out of the Dollar General very rudely. Here's the "manager" with her mask off. I rated only 1 star because I had to in order to leave a review. Today I went to the store and was treated so badly by staff. I have not been in this store in a while because it seems that the employees are always rude and seems to be getting worse. I went to purchase a few items and needed to purchase something behind the counter. There was no one at the front so I kindly went to find the employee to let her know that I needed something. She rudely said I will be there in a minute I'm busy. I waited at the front and while waiting I was looking at the items that are at the front. The staff member stated that I needed to be at register 2 so the doorbell thing could sound if I needed something. I reminded her that I was not trying to be difficult that I didn't know that they had a doorbell thing up front. She rolled her eyes after picking the device up and slamming it down. I will not be back to this store. I was treated terrible. She continued to run her mouth the entire checkout process. This is the worst I have ever been treated in a store. It seems that the people they hire here just get worse with customer service skills. I will gladly make the drive to Lubbock to a store that knows how to treat...

If I could put 0 stars I would. Every time I walk in this store and that one girl that works there (borrowed a photo from the review Miranda left to show who she is) has treated me like complete garbage. I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this place, lived in shallowater for 10 years, only to be treated as such. I have to walk on eggshells every time I walk in the store and I see her there. She’s always got something snarky to say and keeps running her mouth. She needs to get checked, I’ll be calling corporate tomorrow. Can’t believe the dollar general is that desperate for employees. I’ve been trying to call there all morning and have gotten no answer. I’ll never go back to that place if she’s working...
