Went for their opening cook out as we just bought a house in the area and have been waiting to go check this place out. Was possibly the most disappointing restaurant experience I've ever had. They wanted $45 per person for the cookout. That was the only option for food. Didn't matter if you had kids, that was the only option for food. The $45 bought you 2 street tacos that were 80% cabbage and maybe a 4 out of 10, a small green salad that was terrible, a half ear of Mexican corn that was terrible, a small side of beans that were actually really good, and a tiny strawberry shortcake that, for some reason they out balsamic vinegar on. I've never felt so ripped off by a restaurant in my life. Maybe if the food was amazing it would have been worth $20 per person but $45! I think they are m catering to the tourists who are just dying to get out of the house. Will...
Read moreVery cute little shop, wwwaaayyy overpriced! Came for the Sunday brunch, got the shrimp ceviche tacos, $9. It was 2 corn tortillas, each barely half filled, 5 tiny bay shrimp in each taco, 2 pieces of pickled onion on each, and a few flecks of cabbage. There was a tiny bit of salsa on the side, which was good, but for $9?! The tacos themselves weren't excellent, they were okay. Definitely not enough filling for the tortilla. Popsicles are just frozen fruit juice, $2.50 each. Good, but not worth $2.50. I'd say this place is definitely directed at the tourists with how pricey everything is. We wouldn't...
Read moreThis is a cute place that feels like at least three businesses in one, each more intriguing than the last: The market featuring seafood-leaning picnic-friendly foods, local beer, wine and freshly baked cookies. A nautical-themed gift/craft/curio section. And my favorite - a local seafood-focused grill (restaurant? Cafe?) with a sweeping 180-degree view of the southern end of Hood Canal backstopped by the looming Olympic Mountains. It's a perfect backdrop for enjoying fresh oysters and other excellent options such as the generous and reasonably priced seasonal seafood...
