This was the cutest gift shop in Two Harbors area! We went twice and my husband regrettably passed up a painting of the Aerial Lift Bridge in Duluth. When I called a couple weeks later to see if they still had it, Mabel took such great care of me! She texted a picture of the painting to make sure it was the right one, told me about the history of the husband and wife that painted it, and took it home to personally wrap it so it wouldn't bend during transit since it was going to be shipped. She even went in the next day on her day off to take care of payment and drop it off at the USPS. She was so sweet and kind hearted, we will definitely be back when we are up in that area again! Oh my! Did we find the perfect gift shop on the North Shore - Northwoods Pioneer Gallery & Gifts. Most everything is hand made. They specialize in unique, locally hand-crafted products from over 50 area artisans. We found some beautiful pottery and quilts. The big find was the North Shore-opoly. We happened to stop at this delightful gift shop! Be sure and pull in and go into the store when driving past on Highway 61. The handmade gifts are abounding and all interesting and impressive to view. From unique kitchen towels, cloths, scrubbies, pot holders, to beautiful metal trees on wooden stands.
