Mama time turned into nightmare.
I will never be coming to this salon again. I booked appointment over a month in advance for balayage and a trim. Two hours before my appointment I received a voicemail and a text message stating that the stylist I was booked for now works somewhere else and to call back if I would like to reschedule with someone else. I called the salon and explained what an inconvenience this was for me, as I took the day off from work and hired a baby sitter specifically for this appointment.  They offered to remedy the situation by booking me with a high level stylist even honored the price I was suppose to pay with the other stylist. Great!  I was very happy and felt they were very accommodating.  When I arrived at the salon, the stylist quickly introduced herself and rushed me to her chair. She came off rather cold, speaking very seldom to me prior to starting. It was clear that she was upset with the fact that they booked with with her. Thatâs fine, I really donât need to talk during appointments, BUT what was not okay was that the whole appointment I could literally feel her taking out her frustrations on me. With every comb she ripped the brush through my hair and forcefully slapped on the foil against my head. I mentioned a couple of times that it was hurting, but she really did not lighten up. I sat there so incredibly upset I started to tear up. Being a working mom, I rarely get to treat myself to getting my hair done, so I was really looking forward to this. Now I felt as though I was being punished for something that wasnât even my fault. As a nurse there are plenty of times I get trusted and angry at work but I would never take it out on a patient. Near the end the manger came to apologize for the inconvenience and handed me a bag of what Iâm sure is free samples the salon receives.    Read moreSep 14 Update: one of their most experienced stylists saw me yesterday and did a fantastic job fixing my haircut. She was quick and efficient and extremely friendly and professional! I gave the salon 5 stars for customer service and 4 stars overall because it took three visits to get my haircut right (blunt bob).
Update: I returned 2 weeks ago to get the haircut fixed. Unfortunately was scheduled with an entry level stylist who , to my dismay, made the issue worse as I lost length but cut still uneven. Current âstyleâ is about 1/2 inch longer on the right side. I noticed the issue a couple of days later. Had not been able to return to get it fixed as I was out in a business trip on the west coast. The stylist was very friendly and gave me full service (shampoo and hair dry â even though I told her the shampooing wasnât necessary I said I had just washed my hair earlier that day. I made sure to leave a good tip) I have an appt today (Sep 13) , this time I requested to be seen by the owner, who is an experienced stylist.
Very nice salon with professional and friendly front desk staff/staff. For this I would give 5 stars. However, giving 2 stars to the hairstaylist who cut my car yesterday. Eventhough she was friendly the haircut was bad. It was uneven (obviously longer on one side) and I had to tell her to fix it.    Read moreI love this place! I have been going to Hair Gallery since it opened and am very happy for their continuing success. All of the staff, from the senior stylists to the new stylists-in-training are very professional and personable. The space is light and airy. This salon runs very smoothly and has a pleasant atmosphere. Coffee, tea, cold water and snacks are on hand for anyone who wants them. The stylists receive frequent training in new techniques, so they are able to suggest new "looks" or style hair to the client's specifications. At other salons I've used, the hairdressers try to get customers to buy new products at every visit. This is not true at Hair Gallery, though they are well stocked for those who want some.
