Planet Fitness — Local services in Sioux City

I love that gym I always go in the morning but today I didn't have time so I went in the afternoon I never take a bath I wait home so I decided to take my things to bathe when I finished my routine I went to the bathroom it was 9:10 pm The woman who was washing the showers is called Pam by the way I asked her if i could take a bath and she said yes I just washed it for u and I told her the smell is very strong she said it's just lime away off when I was taking a bath that thing she spray smelled so strong The hot water in contact with the lime away couse gases fast as I could. I couldn't breathe. I had chest pain. I went to the dressing room super fast while I was changing. My head and chest hurt. I told her . Can you tell me what was u spray can u told me again? that you sprayed and she told me lime away again I insisted that I did not feel well and she continued mopping nothing that I told her mattered to her and on top of that she told me to shut up her attitude that she is a person without feelings I did not feel well so I went to outside to talk to someone else because she told me without any remorse I don't care talk to the manager she arrives tomorrow at 6 am very disappointed that in a situation like this they don't have trained staff for a situation like this I really felt terrible and she She saw me sitting on the couch again and said omg so dramatic because she didn't feel what I felt i couldn't breathe i m super disappointed they dont gave train stuff to handle this kind of situation i could die there nobody care it was horrible i hope they...

Equipment is in good shape. Facility is clean and updated. Shower area is a bit odd. The showers have no temperature instructions. There are two handles that rotate, stacked. It's hard to explain. Anyway, it doesn't say which directions are hot or cold. I think one is for water pressure, but I'm not really sure? There are also no hooks inside the shower, which would be nice to hang a shower bag, or even a washcloth on. Also, more hooks outside the shower for towels or bags would be nice.

For newcomers (like my family and I), there are some things we have found unclear. There are TVs, but I didn't see any instructions on how to get sound. Some of the machines appear to have TV controls but they don't work. So one would not know if they were broken or just not intented to work. The restrooms are not clearly marked, besides by an "m" and "f", well inside the doors. Some better signage would be nice.

We are travellers who came from Singapore all the way to Iowa to do Ragbrai and travel America. As black card members who needed a shower after a hot day in Iowa, we visited planet fitness at 6.48pm, just 12 minutes before they close at 7pm. But Dana, the associate kept yelling at us to get out of the gym, saying that “planet fitness was closing” and that “she could no longer let people in”.

We did not even go when the gym was closed but made it just before closing. While we understand that Planet Fitness is indeed closing, we had already promised to finish getting a shower in 10 quick minutes. But to be shoo-ed away in such a rude fashion..it was very shocking and hurtful to us.

Dana’s behavior shocked us extensively as we had heard that people in Iowa were helpful to people who do Ragbrai and this person, Dana (the manager at Planet Fitness) - who denied us to have even a simple shower that would have made our day alittle more comfortable made us feel less welcome and frankly,...
