Bobbin and Bloom — Local services in Sister Bay

During a chilly, rainy stretch in Door County this May, we decided to explore some local spots we've passed by countless times but never ventured into — and I’m so glad we did. Bobbin and Bloom was an absolute treasure!

From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the warm, welcoming energy of the owner — a genuinely sweet and incredibly knowledgeable woman who clearly lives and breathes creativity. I spontaneously joined her for a succulent workshop (highly recommend!) and left with a stunning, custom-made piece that I’m obsessed with. Her passion for plants and her artistic talent shines through everything she does — from her hand-crafted pots to her beautifully sewn goods.

A few days later, I couldn’t resist going back to purchase more of her handmade succulent planters. They’re now some of my favorite pieces at home!

The shop itself is adorable — brimming with quality, locally made goods — and it feels amazing to support a woman-owned small business that pours so much heart into every detail. Oh, and her dog Winston? Total sweetheart.

One of - if not the best shop in Door County. Visited after seeing the big sign for succulents and was amazed. Many good selections for plants and pots, along with a workshop option. Very nice atmosphere and was a nice change of pace from the pricey shops of Door County. The staff also helped with directions on how to care for the plant and was very hands on. Decent sized plants were $4-6 and the air plant container I made ended up being only $8. Would definitely recommend and is a nice place to go if you want a cool souvenir from Door County that...

Cutest little store ever! Got greeted by an adorable pup named Winston. My friends and I were ogling over the many succulents and house plants available, all decently priced as well. We got 3-4 plants each and made our own air plant garden to add to our collections at home.
