Go here!

The water was warm and the beach was clean. I loved the tumbled rocks and they made a really nice sound. Keep in mind you cannot take any with you as souvenirs. It's a big NO and you can be fined heavily. So leave the rocks there and enjoy them.

Parking was terrible. Dont bring a large truck down to the lower area. Suitable for bikes, bicycles, and small cars or walking from above. No toilets available. There may have been a pit toilet above, but I didn't see it.

Note: All of the pit toilets everywhere in door county were in terrible condition and poorly maintained and stink. All of them. If you have a condition that requires frequent bathroom trips, plan accordingly.

Plan to spend a day enjoying the beach. Families were cooking out, playing in the waves and having a really nice time.

Dogs allowed! But pick up after them and keep and eye on them.

I really...

Great place to do some distance swimming. When you enter the water, swim to your left along the shore line away from Sister Bay. If you stay close to the shore line the boats should not bother you. The beach itself is all lime stone pebbles. It appears that this near a prehistoric reef? As one swims as directed it appears that the bottom is a lime stone shoal? Water is a bit warmer then the open lake side. No toilets. Small beach but maybe one of the better ones for a nice distance swim on the bay side. Nice views and great to relax on the warm stones after a chilly swim. Water was in the mid to high 60's F in mid September of 2024. No guards. Swim at...

I would literally never go back here. There were huge colonies of spiders living in the rocks, large and black. I was afraid to sit down at all. Every step you take you sink further into the rocks. It was very hard to stand and walk around this beach. The only plus was that I collected some nice flat smooth rocks for my kids to paint. As I got into the water (the only place away from the spiders) I felt like I was sinking and hard a hard time getting back on shore. I also fell trying to get back up the rocks and injured my leg badly. Which put a damper on the rest of my vacation. I do not...

8/21/25 - This is certainly an interesting stop. First - DON'T TAKE ANY ROCKS and help preserve it for everybody. The road down and parking situation is questionable at best. The rocks are difficult to tread and you will find a number of well-sized black spiders. That being said, the view is beautiful, the water is cool, and it's a unique experience. The rocks are incredibly smooth and fun to look through the different shapes and feel the different textures. Would definitely stop by again.
