Knock On Wood Furniture — Local services in Smithfield

Went to Knock on Wood after visiting several other "popular" furniture stores. The other furniture stores charged way to much for the quality of their products. After being dissatisfied with their selection, we googled to see if any smaller family businesses came up. That's how we found Knock on Wood.They had a large selection of kitchen tables and chairs to choose from, and you can even mix and match. The furniture there is unfinished which makes it totally customizable!! We found this great solid wood table with butterfly leaf that was exactly what we were looking for! We also bought 6 chairs that we picked ourselves. We had the table and chairs stained to the color Java. It only took 3 weeks to come in and it looks amazing!!! We recommended Know on Wood to our family members and the went and purchased a new table and chair set too! The owner was very pleasant and knew everything about the peices. When it came time for delivery, the couple that delivered and installed it were nice, clean and courteous. They gave us a lot of information about how to care, clean and take care of our new set! I would highly recommend then to anyone looking for a one of a kind set, that you can customize any...

We have bought several basic bookshelves from them over the years, and have been quite satisfied, so when we needed a solid wood chest of drawers, we decided to order from them. The order was extremely late in coming; several times I called to inquire about the status, and the person said they would look into it and call me back, but never did. Finally the order was delivered, and it was the wrong item (but from the same product family). In addition to it being the wrong item, I was extremely disappointed in the quality, especially as compared to the sample item we were shown in the showroom. Of particular concern was the extremely poor quality of staining, with some areas seeming like they had not been stained at all. Definitely not the rich look of nicely finished hardwood (as the floor sample had appeared). They took the wrong item away, and, based on the poor quality of the item that had been delivered, I asked to cancel the order. To their credit, they did not give me a hard time about cancelling, and my deposit was refunded...

Beautiful wood furniture for every room. Will paint or stain for additional fee. All pieces are made from natural wood. Authentic color! Two floors full of merchandise to choose from. From children, desks, coat racks, cubbies, gliders, bedrooms, kitchen sets, entertainment centers, wine racks, beautiful wood signs with different designs and sayings. I really do mean they have everything! Prices are reasonable for the product your getting, strong long lasting wood to last a lifetime. Honestly this place is worth checking out. Easy to see from the street big red building with wood products in front. Parking on side of building where front entrance is located. I'm sure you could also park in the back of building if needed. Two gentlemen were working today, both extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the products. Answered all our questions even helped pick up are finishing stain to match our other pieces. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you knock on wood, can't wait to see our finished...
