I've been a customer of Ace hardware in Smithfield for quite a while. Last weekend I was in Ogden helping my sister in-law get her house ready to sell. Instead of driving 5 more minutes to a Home Depot I opted to stop at an Ace Hardware and get the things I needed. Once we were done it was late so I drove back home in cache valley. I ended up buying a paint roller extension that we ended up not needing. Today I took it to Ace Hardware in Smithfield and they wouldn't take it as a return. I find this very frustrating. If you're going to compete with the big box stores don't piss your customers off over a $30 item. In the future I will drive an extra 50 miles to a big box store and no longer support Lee's or Ace...

She was extremely knowledgeable, and even though our issue was a bit of a hassle, she maintained a positive attitude the entire time and was able to help us. It said that The smithfield store had what we needed in stock for a certain price, We went to the store to find out the Had the wrong price and we showed the cashier what the website said... His response was I don't Know what to tell you. He had the same response for an elderly lady looking for something. Hiring youth needs extra training, we will no longer be going back...
