Can I say no stars? Never made it to the fright walk, but after 4 hours and $100 to stand in line with children who couldn't wait 5 hours and still be awake, I gave up. Even after I was told, no to an exchange on dates or a refund. But they did offer to allow us to the front of the line for another $50. No thank you, your not getting another cent after this. See details below.
It was my sons birthday, we decided to go here, since clearly we didn't know better and didn't check the Yelp reviews. This is how the night went...
We stood in line from 6:45pm till 7:35 to buy tickets.
5 people, we paid for the package so we could go through both the haunted walks. Thats 100$. Ok, 2 haunted houses, 'worth it' we say, boy were we wrong.
6:55 We enter and wait, there is a line but unless your the group they are serving you dont get to line up. Ok, like an airline, we can wait. The idea is no waiting for hours in line, just get called wait a few minutes and go in. So they had a bouncy thing and the kids played. After an hour they were board and tired, but no, we cant line up yet.
9:30pm We get to line up, our group is called! Yay into the haunted walk! Oh no, wait, there's a big line, even though we had decided to wait at the place to line up.
10:15 The kids are about to fall over, they are 13 and 14. So tired they are about to fall over. The line has moved 15 feet in 45 minutes, its about 50 feet long. At this rate it will be about 45 minutes-1.5 hours more waiting.
The website says, and I quote: "Rather than wait 2 hours in the haunt lines, you'll be waiting in our midway area until called. When called, your zone will then go back to the haunt portals. There will still be wait, but not 2 hours! "
NOT 2 HOURS.
Hmmm, Well were at 3.5 hours. False Advertising maybe? Doesnt even say "generally not" or "normally not", it says NOT 2 hours, guess they mean "Not two hours but four!" Yay.
So understanding the situation and assuming they may be reasonable company, I talk to someone there about possibly switching our ticket to a later day when they may have staff available to handle such a crowd or maybe less of a crowd?... Not a refund, since they clearly say no refunds for any reason, but asking to change the day since THEY were not able to handle the load. But Nope. Not an option.
We went home. After nearly 4 hours of waiting we gave up, wasted $100 on a company that's clearly not worth its name, and doesn't care about its customers or the law.
Avoid this place. Go anywhere else. You could drive to Tacoma and get in sooner, including the time to drive there and back.
They lied on their website, they lied at the desk(we asked the approximate wait and were told 1.5-2 hours), They only tell the truth about NO REFUNDS.
Run away, this place is scary, but its their morals...
Read moreI hate to give this a bad review because I wanted to love it sooo bad, but it just was not worth the money and the drive if you’re coming from the city or neighboring town. We purchased the double dare experience + the slide.
Pros: the apple cider donuts were hands down… the best part of the entire experience you have to get them. Lots of small activities and cute photo ops, food vendors were great, and the overall vibe 10/10 it really puts you in the halloween spirit.
Cons: Haunted house: who ever is in charge of logistics for the haunted house needs to reevaluate their plan. Groups of 8-10 people were just being funneled in without spacing and the result was just one long single file line of people walking through the haunted house which meant 95% of the time no one is actually interacting with you, or you’ve already seen the jump scares from 10 people in front of you. Even the actors looked like they were over the fact that there wasn’t spacing happening. I consulted with some friends who had gone prior and same experience. Id rather wait in line for twice as long and actually be scared then whatever lame excuse for a haunted house that was. I know trying to scale something like this is hard, but maxing out on ticket sales might not be the way to go because as it stands .. someone should revoke the scariest haunted house in washington award. 2/10
The blue haired girl at the slide: poor attitude. She was visibly and verbally upset and rude to everyone. Like literally screaming at people.. lol
Overall, I think there is a lot of potential here, everything except the haunted house was great. If management reorganizes their approach a little I really think it can be a good experience. Looking forward to trying it out again in the following year to see if any...
Read moreWe love Stalker Farms Haunted Corn Maze! You get to go through twice, for 2 different haunted maze experiences in one. Both are engaging, well-acted & scary. Instead of choosing a theme they go with a little bit of everything. All the classic horror tropes are there! From clowns, to dolls, to cannibals, and more.
If you're sensitive to mosquitos wear some bug spray bc it's swampy out there in the corn fields, which adds to the spookiness... but also the itchiness later.
On our 2nd time through staff timing could have been better; ie: allowing more time in between parties. We didn't really get to enjoy the attractions as much bc the ppl in front of us kept stopping to take pix, meaning the actors didn't have time to reset for us, and they stole all our scares. And the ppl behind us ran ahead and kept pushing and grabbing onto us. Not a huge deal, but they should let ppl know there's no stopping or running ahead. Bc we did pay kind of a lot to not get the full experience.
Bear in mind there are NO REFUNDS. It's prominently posted.
Pretty expensive... I can't recall the exact tix prices for the haunted maze, but about $100 for a family of 3. Kids are the same price as adults. The pumpkin patch & hayride (open during the day only) is extra. They have an open air bounce platform that's a ton of fun (slick when wet, so be careful!) and is included in your entry fee. Plus a few other little carnival style attractions. There are no vendors for things like cocoa or kettle corn at night.
Parking wasn't bad - it's free and there was lots available and it wasn't terribly muddy. All in all, we had fun and might go again next year. But I would manage the staff at the corn maze entry in order to get the full experience, and not have to share it w/2...
