Waste of $30. We came as soon as it opened, buy our tickets and the first thing we noticed was "do not touch"everywhere. Next thing was the train table wasn't working. While waiting for front desk person to get it going, I look around noticing all things with glass are COVERED in finger prints and icky from little hands touching the glass, we came at opening so this was not cleaned from previous day(s) the next train table looked like it had controls on the other side of the display, but no one around controlling it, which was a bummer because it had Thomas on it and my son really wanted to see it running. All trains but one caboose allowed for entrance, otherwise you're just looking at the outside of the train, and can't even touch. Disappointing and boring for a 7 and 5 year old. The random toys everywhere was a bit odd. Maybe an attempt to make it not so lame? The play area was a WRECK. My husband and I ended up picking up the logs and campfire rings because they were just all over and not picked up. Another thing that was probably a mess from the day(s) before. In summary, this place sucked and was boring, it should be free or...
Read moreI just had to write an honest comparison review:
I recently had the chance to visit the Kyoto Railway Museum in Japan, and I have to say, it completely spoiled me for other train museums. With around 50 historical and new trains in immaculate condition on display, interactive exhibits, huge playgrounds, and even a steam engine ride, the Kyoto museum offers an incredible experience. What really stood out to me was the sheer value for the price – the museum's vast collection and immersive exhibits make the ticket price feel like a steal.
That being said, the Snoqualmie museum still has its own charm and is worth visiting. However, the exhibits and displays don't quite compare to the Kyoto museum's extensive collection.
I'd love to see my local museum to offfer something extra, maybe more trains in immaculate condition, how trains look from underneath, interactive exhibits and especially better...
Read moreOverall it was a good time but could have been better if they would have seemed to care more. At the depot in the hall there was only one table with arts and crafts for the over 100 kids also not very festive. There was no Christmas tree, no music and several more tables and chairs could be seen in a hallway but nobody seemed to care if they were put out. The train was fine. Every car was different and again no love put into decorating and making it seem very festive. Once at the museum most of your time will be spent in line waiting to see Santa. If you take time to actually look around the museum and do any of the crafts with the kids there is NO TIME to get their cocoa and cookies. They really need to give more time to enjoy what was promised when the tickets were booked. Overall the kids did have a good...
