I called My Way Carpet for a quote on my nearly 4,000 sq. ft. whole-house carpet installation job. I had already decided on the carpet I wanted and had already chosen another company to do the install, but I thought it was prudent of me to get a second opinion just to say I did.
From the very first call I made to My Way Carpet, I was made to feel as if I am their only customer in the world. Louis fielded my initial call, and he was so attentive, patient, thorough, warm, and engaged. He listened to my story and sounded genuinely delighted to help. He scheduled someone to come to my home right away to take measurements and show me samples. I emailed him pictures of designs I like, and he and his team worked tirelessly to scour the carpet industry for my perfect carpet.
Sam came and met with my husband, and, because I was out of town, he FaceTimed me so that I could be part of the conversation. He showed us what was available, took measurements, and then went back out looking for more samples. He stayed in constant contact with me, texting pictures of samples as he found them. It was honestly like having my own personal shopper. Then, Sam returned to my home, and I narrowed down my choice to two different carpets. He thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each, but I was still unsure. I asked him for his personal opinion, and he very reluctantly gave it to me. I decided to go with the carpet he personally liked best (no, it actually WASN'T the most expensive one), and then we moved on to selecting a color. I narrowed it down to two and finally chose one, and, of course, the one I chose was not in stock in the quantity I needed in a single dye lot at the manufacturer. Due to the urgency of my situation, I reluctantly agreed to the second color. Sam assured me it was beautiful and that I would love it. I trusted him, but I didn't entirely believe him.
We moved on to scheduling the installation. He knew I was desperate for the carpet, so he scheduled the installation for the following Sunday, which was Father's Day. I felt awful agreeing to have a crew work on a Sunday, much less Father's Day, but he assured me they were happy to do it, so I agreed.
The team that came to do my installation was, of all things, a father and son team! My heart was so warmed to know that I was keeping a father and son together doing what they love best on Father's Day! There were four men altogether, and every one of them was absolutely delightful. They were warm, courteous, thoughtful, engaging, patient, and highly skilled. Emad, the father and head of the team, was a brilliant leader. The entire team worked together like a machine. He directed his men clearly and confidently, and his decades of experience in the carpet industry were readily apparent. He was also so incredibly kind and always made me feel like my happiness was his number one priority. Moreover, it was raining most of the day, so they had to install an entire house of carpet with four children running around under their feet. I did my best to keep them out of their hair, but I was unsuccessful many times, as three of my babies are under 4. Nevertheless, none of the installers showed even a hint of irritation when my kids got in their way. In fact, they were very sweet to them.
These men worked tirelessly for two days to make my home absolutely beautiful. I couldn't have been happier with the carpet AND the color Sam recommended or the expert installation of it. In fact, they let me feeling truly blessed to have known them and to have had the opportunity to be the beneficiary of Emad's efforts. He has amassed a lifetime of experience, and anyone he installs for should consider themselves as fortunate as I do.
Even after the installation, Louis and Sam followed up and showed genuine interest in making sure I was happy with the carpet and installation. I have no complaints, but I am absolutely certain that if I did they would rush to address them.
I could never have asked for a better experience. Thank you for being a part of my life, My Way...
Read moreEdit: My Way Carpet is claiming they have no records of our business transaction with Issa. Issa (the owner) has threatened to sue us because we rated and shared our poor experience publicly; our experience is based on facts. Issa co-owns My Way Carpet and owns Flooring Today LLC. Google will not allow me to post photos of our texts or Issa's photoshopped invoice. But other popular review websites have my full review. They are now trying to get my review censored by Google, but I will continue to share my experience to help others.
We hired Issa last Sept. 2022 for a large flooring project - part of the project was to rip out carpet, sand, and finish the existing hardwood in the master bedroom. Work started on 9/10/22, and Issa assured me all would be finished by 9/30.
For context, I gave birth on 9/10/22, and Issa contacted me that same day to share that there was cement where a wall used to exist (former owners had knocked down walls and filled in with cement). I asked if new wood could be laced in to match the existing wood; Issa was adamant that everything had to be replaced. He insisted that my way would be ugly and it was impossible to work around the existing wood. I requested that the new wood match the wood original to the house (oak Select). I was physically and mentally taxed to get a few other quotes, and I had no reason to distrust Issa at that time. Once installed, I noticed that the new wood looked different from the rest of the house. Issa assured me it was the same wood, oak. While technically true, Issa was not entirely honest because he had used the lowest quality oak, common#2.
On 2/20/23, we noticed white lines on the polyurethane finish. While we cannot establish the precise moment the issues started because of the distractions of caring for a newborn and the holidays, the defects were clearly visible. We contacted Issa and he stopped by on 2/27. Mo, Issa’s subcontractor who installed the wood never came by to examine the floor. Issa did not know what was causing the white lines, but he was quick to point fingers that it was the cleaning crew’s fault for using Murphy’s Soap based on slap-dash Google research; however, he could not confirm it was the cause for the white lines. 3 different flooring contractors, NWFA certified, examined the floors, and they all confirmed that the white lines were caused by poor application of the polyurethane. The strange and unprofessional situation only escalated: Issa continued to only refer to his photos of the project to deflect possible responsibility, and he failed to engage with us in a rational manner when we sought clarification and information.
The final bizarre turn in this saga came about when 2 NWFA certified contractors noted that the wood was not oak Select. When we asked Issa what he had ordered, he stated “Select”. To confirm, we asked for the invoice of what Issa ordered. When Issa shared the Hurst Hardwood invoice, we called Hurst and the rep confirmed that Issa had not purchased oak Select, nor did the code “21/41 SEL” exist in their system, and that he in fact had purchased Red Oak Common #2. When we confronted Issa about switching out the materials and photoshopping the invoice, Issa claimed he never said “Select” in his invoice for us, so, why photoshop the Hurst invoice?
The Summative Facts: Issa lied to us about the quality of hardwood he bought; he said he bought Oak Select A rep at Hurst Hardwood Floors confirmed that Issa purchased Red Oak #2 Common and that the code on Issa’s invoice shared with us, 21/41 SEL, does not exist in their company’s system. Issa photoshopped the Hurst invoice Even if Issa had used oak Select, he overcharged us; to add insult to injury, it was the cheapest wood on the market The subcontractor, Mo, never returned to the house to examine the white lines on the polyurethane. Three independent NWFA flooring contractors all confirmed the white lines in our floors was due to poor polyurethane application. Poor workmanship—the custom steps are now cracking as...

Hi Everyone,
I rarely write reviews but when i do, it certainly worth my time, your time and our hard earned dollars. Truth be told, it will be extremely selfish on my part not to share an excellent customer and professional service I received at My Way Carpet.
Not to mention, the cruelty and unfairness to the general public by withholding the needed information, guidance and directive we all need when we are seeking for a certain service. I recently downgraded from a bigger to a smaller house. I had very nice and expensive 8×11 area rug that became too big for the new house. I wasn't sure how to work around it and i called Home depot.
The latter suggested i take it to a carpet Binder. Now, that was my first time hearing about the service. I didn't think that a carpet alteration will be remotely possible. So i looked up the google and got MY WAY CARPET and few other places too.
You can agree with me that good customer service starts from the initial phone contact . I spoke to SAM. He was extremely patient to answer all questions regardless of the fact, i had zero knowledge of what i was talking about and too slow processing new information.
He worked me through step by step the process of cutting and binding and the materials used as well. I was extremely and pleasantly impressed that i traveled 40 miles to his buisness . Regardless, i had couple of them less than 5 miles away. What makes the difference? Your guess is as good as mine, LOL.
It will be important to note also that beyond customer service, SAM has such a beautiful personality, humble, friendly , understanding, considerate and accommodating. I needed the service so urgently because i was expecting a guest and i didn't want to be embarrassed. He went out of his way and stayed beyond his closing time to make sure i had it ready. I felt awful twisting his arms and i did apologize thou.
And Wow, i went home with brand new carpet tailored to the size and shape i needed and fits right into the space. Not only that i will be going back for my carpeting needs, i will recommend him to all friends too. Please spare yourself the agony of bad workmanship and GO STRAIGHT TO SAM.
Thank you, Sam....
