My appt was at 2000 hrs. I spoke with Dairy receiving and they said I could come at 1700. I show up at 1630 and the guard said, "Well this is not a parking garage." I reminded him they told me to come early. He let me in but told me to stage.
At 1700, I go to Dairy receiving and both people in the office saw me standing there and continued to let me stand there for 8 minutes without talking to me. The lady finally asked me what I wanted and I gave her the bills. She told me I had to wait for a phone call. I returned to my truck, checked my phone and saw that while the lady was ignoring me for 8 minutes she actually called my phone. I went back inside and told her I missed her call because I was there in the receiving office. She replied, "Well you misses the call. Now you have to wait." I explained I was standing in front of her when she made the phone call. She repeated "You're going to have to wait."
If she wasn't sitting there pretending I wasn't there I could have been checked in. Now I'm just sitting wasting time.
Some people are genuinely good at what they do. Others are like Slinkies, they are only useful if you push them down a flight of stairs.
On the bright side as soon as I got a door I checked in with Todd at Capstone Logistics. It was like night and day. He was professional and friendly. This place needs more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWrite your cell number at top of bol and have your license ready to hand to guard at in gate. It makes the process of checking in go faster and smoothly. Delivered on a Thursday. There is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING on their property but you can park outside on the road at your own risk. Parking is limited. Real bathrooms are available for drivers in the receivjng/lumper area. Arrived 1826, there is a line at in gate. Rarely is there not. Been here too many times to count. Appt 1900, in door 1855. Slide tandems to rear. At receiving window there are slips of paper for driver to fill out, door number, trucking name, trailer number and phone number. Hand slip and bol to clerk. Wait in truck. The shortest wait I have experienced was four hours. They used to bring the paperwork to driver. Not tonight, got a phone call ppwrk was ready. Out the door 2255. Pull out, slide tandems up and close doors. Drive to out gate, NO NEED TO STOP at out gate. There used to be a two hour window for checking in but that has changed to one hour now but guard said it depends on what you are deliverying. It's best to show up an hour early of appt cause you can spend an hour...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReceiving opens at 5 am and closes at noon. I recall this place because its lumper service was notoriously expensive and sluggish when I had a bad luck delivering dry van load here back in April 2020.
There were 6 fallen pallets with some souse bottles. I ended up waiting several hours, then paying for first unloading and loading back $700+, leaving the property because there was no night parking here, restocking on side of the road, returning next day, paying another 700+, and waiting several hours again. It was nightmare experience back to 2020.
Hopefully, this time it is going smoothly because I am dealing with Meat Receiving instead of Diary one from my previous delivery but Hannaford are going to rip me off for lunper service again regardless. š
Meanwhile, both night security guard (middle age man) and day one (young lady with tattoos and braces) as well as receiving clerk in Meat department were extreamly nice to me...
