The park is very nice and wonderful opportunity to see kids from all countries play together, however, I was upset by a Guard when we came in. My grandson was holding a roll up mat that we were taking into the park for him and his little brother to sit on. The Security guard very rudely told him that he could not take this in and to just throw it in the garbage. I paid $10.00 for this and he said to throw it away or leave it sit but he guaranteed it would not be there when we left. We let it sit and went in to see PA play. This was on Saturday 8/29/15. As we were sitting watching the game I saw three people walk by with similar roll up mats and one gentlemen even brought in a metal fold up chair. Why were not permitted to bring in our roll up mat. It is not mentioned in the things you cannot take into the park. And liquids are not permitted in the park but I saw several coolers being brought in. What do you suppose was in them? Not happy with the treatment at the gate but it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwesome. If you like baseball or have kids that like baseball this is a must see. Free admission. There is some free parking in a local park behind the complex but it's limited and fills up very quickly so don't plan on it unless you come early or not on championship weekend. Many of the locals let people park on their grass for $10 which is reasonable. Concessions are good and reasonably priced. Nice gift shop that was reasonably priced for most items compared to other major venues which was nice. The people working the concessions and gift shop and museum were all very friendly. Very family friendly place. Beautiful fields. You can sit in the stadium or on the hill at Lamade. Kids and adults still slide down the hill on cardboard behind Lamade. The museum is nice but not a must see if you don't have time. Crowd control after the last game each day is done well and efficiently. Security was quick as well....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot what it used to be. Itās a VERY expensive place to spend the day. Which is crazy because all the workers are volunteers. $11 for a fountain soda $16 for a kids sized tender basket $4 bottled water. I spent $250 on one kid in one day. I wonder who is getting all that profit. And as a thanks for spending your money, you get 80 year old āsecurity guardsā everywhere telling you where you can and canāt go. They will probably start charging an admission fee soon the way things are looking. Fields are still great, but little league is collapsing because of the terrible rules. The competition is not as good as it once was. And the talent on the field isnāt much better than your average travel tournament now...
