Dollar General — Local services in Southampton Township

Been a loyal customer of this store since it opened two years ago. I purchased three storage containers from this store on Dec. 23. When I got to the register, one had slight visible damage, and the customer service associate gave it to me for 50 percent off after she discovered it. The other two appeared OK. After using one of the other ones that appeared OK, it broke with the materials busting through the plastic, despite it being advertised on the front that it is non-breakable. Brought it to the store on Jan. 4, with receipt in hand, hoping to get simply an exchange, and the store manager on duty refused an exchange (or return). She did not greet me upon coming to the front and just started chastising me that I “wrote all over it.” I had simply written the contents on the front panel of what was stored in it. It should not have made any difference, I bought it, and it was mine to write on, not thinking it would break two weeks later. She said “here, take the box” – not even so much as a thank you for your business or an apology that it didn’t last. The woman I spoke to today on the phone in reference to what I needed for my pregnancy girlfriend to help with nausea (ginger items), was very pleasant and went above and beyond to check the store for what I was asking if they had in stock. Went here looking for pokemon cards because online said they had them in stock. I got there to find a note on the rack where they go saying to ask an employee for the item. When I asked where they were they said they didn't have any this had been going on for months employees are obviously hiding them...
