Red Star Pizza — Restaurant in Southampton Township

I would really like to give 4.5 stars. We stopped in for a slice of pizza. So many options! My husband got a 3.95 gourmet slice overflowing with chunks of chicken, roasted red pepper, onion, mozzarella and a balsamic glaze. It was so generous that the thin, crispy crust could not hold it all. I got a 3.15 slice of tomato pie with fresh mozzarella, some dabs of a sweet tomato sauce, parmesan cheese, oregano, oil and basil. This slice could have used more topping—especially tomato. We also got a .50 garlic stick with tomato dipping sauce. While eating in, I could see pizza crusts being tossed in the kitchen. The menu says all pizzas are fresh and made to order. There is an extensive menu from appetizers to lunch items (and specials) to chicken, veal, seafood and pasta dinners. We will be back to try more of the menu! My husband likes the pizza at lunch when in the area so we stopped for an early dinner after hiking. There were only 2 other tables full when we got there & a new waitress. After we ordered, 5 other tables filled up & we never saw her again. Thank goodness the other waitress helped bc we'd have never gotten our pitcher we asked 3x for when she only brought a cup & got flustered how to solve the issue. Pizza & cheesesteak were ok but the sausage in the sausage parm was so charred on both sides it had a burnt taste. This is the second time I had picked up food from here, it was highly recommend by a friend, and believe last time had ordered pizza that was very delicious, this time I opted for a buffalo chicken cheese steak sandwich which was delicious, I don't mind spice but it had just the right amount of kick where it wasn't over whelming but reminded you it was spicy. I will be back again for sure and reccomend others to try as well, don't just visit restaurants with outside eating because they've all had to suffer through the medieval lockdown across this country.
