We have bought prime ribs and steaks from here and always had a good experience. Just today I went in for 20lbs of beef cheek I had ordered 3 months ago. After about 10 min after leaving the store I get a call from Christianna (no issues with her she was nice) asking if I could check my bags because they had accidentally put some ribeyes in there. I drove back to the butcher shop (about 30 min round trip) to return their steaks that they accidentally put in my bags. When I got to the store there was a man with a dark beard behind the counter (I don't know his name) who appear to be on his phone, and I had to get his attention by saying "excuse me". I handed him the steaks to which then he said "oh you have our" he then proceeded to turn around. I have had good experiences before. Product and service has been decent before. My last experience was absolutely terrible. It took 3 months to get my deer processed. Kept getting excuses about the seasoning for the jerky. I paid for 4.5lbs of jerky and got barely 2. It was by far the worst I have ever had from them. I always get jerkey because it has always been good. Not this time. I had multiple people try it to make sure it wasn’t just me. It was so salty that you could barely eat 1 piece. Something was definitely going on there with my deer meat. Typically the jerky is in strips. This time it was in little chunks. I paid $400 and felt like I was taken advantage of. I’m a simple man, I like meat. The Butcher shop has a good selection of not only great fresh meat but a small variety of dairy products as well. I discovered this little local treasure about 3 months ago, and I visit The Butcher Shop quite often (at least once a week). Every time I go in I am given a warm welcome by a really nice staff and half the time I’m offered samples of their cooked varietals of meat, and my goodness are the good EVERY time. last time I went in I was given a little taste of their jalapeño cheddar beef sticks and I left with a pound, which I kind of regret because I should have gotten 2 pounds, it’s insanely delicious. Needless to say this is a fantastic Butcher Shop that I would I highly recommend, great meats, great staff...
