Menards — Local services in Spencer

I rode 28.6 miles one way to Walmart & Menards in Spencer this evening. Went to Walmart first and had my food supplies packed on the back of my Motorcycle, when I arrived at Menards the storm clouds were rolling in. Every time I have went to Menards Spencer Iowa I always park the 2016 Harley Davidson Custom Roadking up under the walkway roof. To protect the motorcycle from the elements and the trucks and cars in the parking lot. Motorcyclists always do this at every store we shop at. I have never had a problem with any store all the way from Alaska to New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa. Today this very large Women with gray hair and glasses came running out of Menards, "store employee" yelling at me and waving her arms and yelling more telling me I'm not going to park My very beautiful motorcycle there. I let her know that I always park there and it's never been a issue. She continues to yell at me, I was getting food supplies and needed tools to finish fixing my jeep that has been down for 4 months. I shop at this Menards at least twice a month and spend around $200.00 to $300.00 every month there. I told her that I wouldn't shopping there anymore. I didn't know Menards has parking lot police. This lady obviously has issues with Motorcyclists. Menards lost $200.00 today too Boomgaars Sheldon & Hyvee Sheldon. They didn't have a issue with Motorcyclists and their Beautiful Expensive motorcycle on under there roof. The Almost 60 mile round trip to spencer only yealded half what was needed and a extra 40 miles was added to the trip to go to Sheldon for the tools and food supplies. If I could rate this store a ZERO, I would!! Spent over $1200 on a shed to be delivered to our home last week Tuesday. Paid help to set it up was waiting. Opened the boxes, and parts were all bent and dented. Called the store and they would deliver another the next day. Had paid help ready to go. Delivery was 4 hours late, driver was rude both times. Spent what was left of Wednesday night and again Thursday evening putting it together. Until we realized they shorted us a $.50 piece of plastic for the door tracking. Called the store, they promised they had the part we needed. Drove 1 hour each way to pick up this tiny plastic piece. We got there and NOBODY knew anything about it. Had to go out in the shipping yard and find it ourselves. Went home, finished up until we saw that we were short a tiny $1.00 piece of metal. Call the store, got put on hold by customer service, who eventually hung up on my wife. Finally got thru and they said they had the piece and would have it up front at customer service for her. She drove 1 hour each way AGAIN and customer service knew nothing about it. By now, my wife is LIVID and yelling pretty loudly. She had to walk all the way back to the far corner of the store to get this piece. Couldn't even have someone bring it up to her!!! After much yelling (and I'm sure cussing), they gave us the piece and $80 to cover gas. What should have been done in 6 hours took us 4 days plus labor of our hired help, due to the negligence and ineptness of this store! We will NEVER shop here again and wouldn't recommend...

Wish i could give 0 stars run by horrible people who refuse to help a community in desperate need and anyone who supports them is a bad person the entire town was struck by a tragic flood where hundreds of people are homeless and lots of people will become poor because of it and menards can’t even spare some buckets(Just for some backstory spencer was hit by a horrible flood where thousands of people lost their homes and when the people running the relief effort called bomgaars they gave everything they had and same with walmart but menards who the town put millions of dollars into refused to do anything and even went as far as to say on facebook that they refuse to help people who have been badly affected by this i think that a time like this is where you find out who the good and bad people are and people at menards are god awful people who are probably super happy that this happened because they will make millions of dollars off people in desperate need and anyone who thinks they were right to do any of this is a...
