JCPenney — Local services in Spencer

I went in on a Sunday and had my hair done by Krystal. I booked online to ensure pricing etc. when I got to the salon everything was going well, however Krystal did NOT listen to the color I actually wanted to be, nor did she cut my hair correctly. I requested a milk chocolate brown, that turned out to be more purple than anything, I also requested to have two blonde money pieces just refreshed, not only did she apply bleach on my head over and over but she did not watch the time, and did not tone. My blonde was orange and yellow. The hair cut was shown to her for inspo, and all she did was chop it. I had to go back to Ruth who then fixed the hair cut and the blonde but I am still overall left with a terrible experience and paid $220 when the booking online said 155$. I called and spoke to the manager and I asked why the difference in cut amount (if you add on a cut with a color it is priced $25 and I was charged $35) her excuse was every stylist has a different price. Krystal shouldn’t have been more than $0 for the terrible hair cut she gave me. There were absolutely no apologies and no “making things right” besides Ruth helping with my cut and blonde. Thank god SOMEONE actually knows how to do hair there. Needless to say I will never return to jcpennys...

We were trying to find an outfit for my boyfriend for a wedding. I was in a different part of the store shopping and my boyfriend comes up to me really frustrated because the Asian looking guy that my boyfriend had asked him if the store had any darker purple ties then what were on the racks all he said rudely was "No, sir, we do not." and then he just walks away, and goes and sits on the counter at the customer service station, by the entrance to the rest of the mall. He didn't go to the back and look or continue in any way to help, he just walks away. So I help my frustrated boyfriend find pants and a shirt that matches and we never found a tie that worked. The entire time that we were struggling to put an outfit together he was just sitting on his butt at the customer service station flirting with the blonde co worker. He even walked by twice and never even acknowledges that we were there or tried to help... I will probably never shop in the men's section again. We came back for the second time to purchase items for our home from the "Window Coverings Department" in the Spencer, Iowa Store. There are two ladies there that ROCK this department!!! They are absolutely AMAZING! They know what they are doing. They are kind, helpful, pleasant and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we had want we needed and wanted by the time we were done with the order for our home. If we could give them more than 5 STARS we would because they deserve it! THANK YOU JC Penny for making a great choice to employ these two ladies and hang on to them! Great help is hard to find now days! Honestly, many of the employees at this store are great! It's why we don't go out of town to shop to other JC Penny stores.
