My 120 pound, 90 year old Father paid for and left your store with a Sims Furniture full sized recliner from "your store" in the trunk of his sedan and "you" watched him drive away with it. His old chair was simply broken and unusable. You wanted to charge him $100 to deliver the new chair less than 3 miles away away and he declined as he was saving his money for gas money he needed to visit his 89 year old wife in a nursing home, my Mom. Proud, he wouldn't pay your high delivery price and made due. He mustered help to bring it into his home from his elderly neighbors and he wouldn't burden his 70 year old son to help him. I wished that I had known. Your selling practices and business model didn't recognize those who built this country and instead you sought for every cheap opportunity to make a quick buck. I'll be happy to take this negative review down, and readjust it, should you reconsider how you treat this patriot and other citizens for their prideful diligence, even at 90 years old, and you reward your rightful intentions for the freedoms you and your family have because of these soul's past duties and sacrifices. This patriot, my Father, because of what he did then to insure and inspire our freedoms and safety, silently inspires me every day. Every time I drive past your store, I will remember how you treat our seniors and patriots and I encourage every one who sees this, to remember how you treated this and perhaps other patriots. You could have made a tremendous positive impact on how you render your business practices in our community but you chose the easy way. My Father might weight 120# and the thought of him lifting "your product" from the trunk of his car without appropriate help is, something I'm not prepared to say out loud. You could clearly see he was struggling. You need to make this right. You need to do the right thing. We all need correcting in our lives from time to time, to be sure, and I hope that you recognize this as an opportunity to start recognizing and re-recognizing the global commitments of how our local and supporting society has contributed to our society and your business. You could be the first....
Read moreHuge selection of furniture, BUT the low of their recliners, couches and beds are cheap. The recliner I received, the seats foam went flat in 3 months! Sims sent a guy who restuffed the seat but 4 months layer, we could feel the wood frame, returned it. The next piece that broke down was my $699.00 mattress they installed, within 3 months i had horrible backaches AGAIN so i called them, they came out confirmed mattress sank in the middle. I chose a serta. Backache went away BUT within 3 months the roller in the frame only had one screw in it, i called snd they refused to help me. I called again a month later because my back ache was back in full fury. RELUNCTANTLY AND RUDELY came out, then proceded to start a conflict with me by yelling at me and accused me an elderly lady of removing a bar from the middle of the bed and abruptly left even though i kept telling i can NOT LIFT THAT BED UP AND REMOVE A "MIDDLE BAR"???? SERIOUSLY, WHY WOULD I DO THIS AND MAKE MY COMPRESSED DISCS HURT SO BAD I WOULD CRY????? LATER ON A "Joe" who is supposed to be the owner, he REFUSED TO GIVE ME HIS LAST NAME, called me and was YELLING AT ME. MY MOTHER could hear him thru the phone, we were both flabberghasted and being accused of taking a piece out of a steel frame bed and hung up on me. Wow, the last bed i bought from rooms to gpwas a sealy posturepedic. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF FURNITURE FROM SIM'S...
Read moreVery unprofessional experience. I have purchased furniture from Sim's in the past and satisfied. Recently things changed. I purchased a very firm king size mattress from Sims. In few days after having mattress a depression developed where lying and became very uncomfortable . Called a man by name Joe couple of times, no results they advised me to rotate every two weeks, but it did not help. I offered to buy a better mattress from them at an additional/added cos , he absolutely offered to do nothing. Then, I called Consolidated Bedding Group where mattress was manufactured in Orlando. Lady by the name Rorie answered phone, very polite not like Sim's in Brooksville. I explained to her the problem, she offered me best mattress they make for very little extra cost to me if I could bring old mattress to them and pick up new one. I did and got new mattress and which is great...I like to buy local but I will not return to Sim's in Brooksville. Also, when they delivered mattress when first purchased, in removing old mattress and frame, dropped out hands damaged side of my car. I will say, they paid for the damage. Things went down hill from there.
I will not recommend people to purchase anything from Sim's Furniture. I would not even give them a 1 star...
