Lakeshore Kayak Rental LLC — Local services in Spring Lake Township

My husband and I rented SUPs and we had a great time. Aiden was very helpful when I called for information and reservations (for the same day!). When we arrived Aiden explained the bayou and Grand River very well using a map. He gave great advice about what to see and helped us on our way. We saw turtles, a bald eagle, swans, herons and of course, fish! This was on a Wednesday 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. We only encountered a jet ski and 2 small boats. We have been paddle boarding about 4 times before and we adjusted quickly to Lakeshore's SUPs. Upon our return, Sydney was there to help us disembark. She, too, was helpful and friendly. Great experience with Lakeshore Kayak! I called at 10 when they opened and talked to Tracy about the different options. We didn’t want to do a longer tour and she told me we could rent by the hour which is what we did. When we arrived 30 minutes later Tracy greeted me by name when I walked into the shop and the kayaks were ready for us - cleaned and prepped. We signed the waivers, paid, got the life jackets on and were in the kayaks in under 10 minutes with some tips on where to go. The kayaks were sturdy and comfortable.. and an hour was plenty of time for us to enjoy the water and the scenery. We saw cranes, ducks, and turtles along with some really nice houses. This place is beyond exceptional! From a person whose rented kayaks from other places and know what’s it’s like when it’s not good, I can’t rave enough about how amazing this place is! I called the morning of because the weather said it was suppose to rain all day, but it only ended up raining at night. So even calling the day of, Karen responded promptly and even arranged for someone to be there when we were available outside of her time frame she was available. Talk about customer service! The lake was beautiful. (Except the protective swan that attacked us, but nothing they can control) Even when we took a wrong turn and were 10ish mins late coming back they didn’t charge us and weren’t mad. The 2 guys there even recommended an awesome burger place 2 miles away! I will be back!...
