Extremely customer service oriented, excellent selection, all your outdoor needs top to bottom, not always the cheapest price but you are supporting a very well-run organization, and a large tourist destination, in this particular store, for Southeastern Pennsylvania. Was in a hurry, needing to get to work and prepare for inclement weather, staff guide very accommodating, also got one or two extra things done on that trip even though I was going for one specific item. Ended up joining the Cabela's CLUB and getting a card to enjoy an extra discount. This is one of the larger Cabela's stores in the United States, very recent, I can compare it to their Flagship Sidney Nebraska store which I have also been to. Their acquisition by Bass Pro Shop has not seemed to affect their individual branding, but there are some benefits to the merger that which allow for bonus points on their Club card at either franchise, throughout the United States. This is an Outdoorsman's destination, which also has extensive taxidermy, a large aquarium, a broad range of products, and a strong brand identity. This particular store is the size of four football fields, and you can find the tiniest fishing lure or book an African safari trip, as you can with other Cabela's locations. Extensive firearm and food options as well as a broad range of products with all outdoor activities in mind. Cabela's was formed in 1961 by two brothers at one's kitchen table, started out as mail-order but expanded to retail locations. All their retail locations tend to be large, each one featuring a unique sculpture out front, each having a restaurant which includes Wildgame options for food. Although Cabela's is a centerpiece of new, franchise, and corporate growth in the Hamburg, Pennsylvania area, it would behoove visitors, since there are many from multiple States, the store being located at the Nexus between Pennsylvania Route 61 and Interstate 78, to check out the downtown shops and small local vendors along the main streets of Hamburg PA, which can be accessed by Crossing Route 61 when exiting Cabela's, going straight for a block and then turning right, following that drive will take you into the old section of downtown Hamburg which is cozy and unique in its own rights, seasonal rituals, unique small retail destinations, and a generally friendly populice. Anyone traveling from in or out of the area owes it to themselves to make it a day, and take in what both the newer retail section of Hamburg has to offer as well as the smaller Cozier downtown along the Main Street. The latter features a second run movie theater, and a small independent drugstore with its own soda fountain. There are numerous other smaller eateries in the older section of Hamburg for those people who are looking for something unique and adventurous which does not involve franchise to corporate American chains, but little mom-and-pop businesses. You could spend an entire day at Cabela's, and can even stay in the area as there are nearby motels, and although Cabela's is something of a theme park or centerpiece of all that retail, those eateries, and a variety of other business and Residences nearby, an out-of-state visitor to Cabela's has a wide range of options as to other places to shop, eat, or stay, weather it's a day trip, or an extended visit or shopping trip...

Also make sure your shoes fit on the tight side. If your feet slide even a little on the way back down. Your entire foot will be covered in blisters....if you have none of these issues it's a awesome trail. Bring more water then you think you need....
