My 3 year old son attended Kidz Paradise on Wyomissing Blvd outside Reading. Several times he was bitten in areas of his body that are questionable to whether the children where being properly supervised while interacting for long periods of time. It is absolutely correct that biting may be a normal part of childhood development for children within his age, but the areas of the bites on the body and why it was continuing to constantly occur without staff intervention is entirely different. Literally, everyday he was coming home bitten on his face, stomach and arms. Also, my son was in this daycare for several months and they NEVER required an immunization record on file. I was terrified that the child biting him was not immunized or may have had a disease due to the program Director Jen's lackadaisical attitude towards child safety and state immunization requirements for Daycares. It seams that the Community College level Director is more concerned with her own children that are in the daycare as well, then those that are actually paying to be there. I had also witnessed a "caregiver" violently pull my child across the room by one arm before she noticed I arrived early and was watching and waiting outside the door for him. When I had brought these concerns to the very uneducated and unprofessional "Directors" attention, pertaining to the obvious negligence and abuse, she simply discharged my son from the daycare. Which honestly was my next intention anyway but it is simply the level of unprofessionalism and audacity she maintained about everything. Instead of filing a lawsuit, I decided to upgrade my child's care to a more reputable and highly regarded and recommended daycare program. A program that is a REAL nationwide 5 stars and highly accredited with statistics to back it up. I have NEVER had any issues at my sons new Preschool/ Daycare. They are everything childcare is trusted to be. Ladies, you get what you pay for. My personal recommendation is, to invest more money for better quality care. I should of walked out of Kidz Paradise during the initial tour when i heard the "Director" yelling after her employees down the hall like she was in a...
Read moreEdited : my daughter attended kidz paradise from 3 months old to 19 months old. Up until about 6 months ago, the care was great and affordable. Now? The price is increasing $40 a week while the standard of care has been declining. My daughter has been bitten 3 times by other children, the last time she was bit so hard that she bruised for a week. She had fallen and scraped up her knees multiple times, the most being 4/5 days. She was put in different diapers that she was allergic to at least 3 times that I have known about and spoken to them about. The last time she was put in a diaper she was allergic to, she broke out in a rash on her privates and bottom and I had to put a cream on it multiple times a day to clear it up. The most recent bad experience being that two teachers in their facility had covid last week. We were told Monday 8/8 around 3pm that they had to close the toddler room due to a toddler being positive ( tested positive friday 8/5 ) until Thursday 8/11. My daughter also tested positive for covid Monday 8/8 and the rest of my children and I have since as well. I informed the daycare of this and received no apology since ending care at this facility. I beg everybody to please not send their children here. They do have a few select teachers who are amazing and I adore but the facility itself is...
Read moreMy son will be four in March of this year he has been going to Kidz Paradise since a day after his first birthday. I am a very hands on , in my childs business and very I wanna know every little detail mother. I'm THAT MOM type of mother. I cried and cried I never wanted to put my son in daycare , we visited over 20 daycares both inner city and suburban daycares. This ones was in our top two. I took my son to all the tours and he was most comfy here and one other. what sold me was the app that comes along with the daycare in which I can see my little throughout the day and have updated info on his day as it goes along. We had one incident that made me almost pull him out but they have redeemed themselves and part of it was my child being a toddler boy. But they have been so patient and have relieve all my stress and fears of daycares. I was such an emotional mess in the beginning and now my son is absolutely In LOVE with his "school" and his "friends" and teachers. If he moves it would only be do to us moving our home. Or him starting actual school. Very well kept place and excellent staff. Lots of times owners do make much of appearances, but you will always catch Ms. Robbie around. shes' great as well....
