Here is my experience with JA ( you can make your own judgement after reading my experience). I made an appt for a hydrofacial. The girl at the front desk made a mistake and booked me twice. They called me to tell me that i was going to be charge the whole amount for a no show. I called them and left them a message saying that i had booked a hydro for X date and that i should not be charged. They still charged me, but given that i had an appt the week after for the same thing, they said that they were going to give me credit (becuase they had already charged for the wrong date) . I made no big deal about and said ok, afterall i was getting the same facial, as long as i wasnt charge twice i was ok.. Fast foward 3 weeks later (sept 5), i scheduled another facial $175 and that went wel, so well that i made 3 more appt with them, i even added a massage (+110) . Here comes Sept 6, i made an appt online for a massage on sept 8th (now this was my mistake, i thought i was booking it for week after). Right at 7 pm the front desk lady calls me and tells me, well we are going to have to charge you the full amount for a now show, unfortunately, that is our policy. So for everfyone reading this, here is the kicker, they made a mistake once, i made no big deal about it, I made a mistake too, and they didnt even want totry to work with me. No whow, plain and simple, we will cahrge you $110. I think businesses forget this thing call custumer service,or forget that we are their clientile. i am not arguing their policy, not at all, but im sure they coould have worked out something with me. Here is a person who has goten a couple of services with us, and had already booked future services with us, im sure we can arrange something....nope this was not the case. Again and to be clear, i am not arguong the fact that they have a policy and their policy does say full charge if no show, by all mean i accept that i was wrong (my own mistake) -- but i was expecting, like many businesses do out there, to work something. Not to fully charge you 110 and simply say well thats out policy. The front desk lady told me, that her manager was not in when i asked to speak to the manager (wether that is true or not, it sure does sounds odd) and the only option she gave was, well we can call you tomrrow and schedule another massage, but for today no show massage will be $110. They can make a mistake, apologize and be ok, but if the customer makes a mistake, there is no option or opporotunities. Will they have my business again, absolutely not (do the math, 175 * 3 + 110 ). This review is for those people looking into getting any services at this place, too see how they value...
Read moreFirst time to the Springfield location (I've always gone to the Glenn Mills location). I didn't know what to expect, but since it's JA I knew it'd be great service. My husband and I took a day to unwind and we booked three separate sessions. The Turkish bath, an exfoliation (for me), a float (for him) and a couple's hot stone massage. We were there from 12-5 so ALL DAY LONG. Monica was a flipping rock star. Good energy, super friendly, on top of all of her tasks plus running us through the TB, and just so very friendly and approachable. She was absolutely fantastic, and I'm so glad I got to meet her. Janiel got me for my lavender exfoliation, and I felt like I was hanging out with a friend while being pampered. I'm a talker, so I really enjoyed being able to have a good conversation while Janiel made my skin so very soft. The experience was new for me, but I definitely recommend anyone trying to freshen up their skin to do the exfoliate. Janiel was quick and efficient and even though the session flew by, I enjoyed it very much. Brianne was my message therapist for the hot stones. She asked what kind of pressure I wanted and where I wanted to focus. At Glenn Mills, I expressed to my therapist about having knots behind my shoulders, and as she said she'd try to get to them, she never really went in there looking. I told Brianne that my hips were bothering me and to work at my ITB. She did, but once she found those knots behind my shoulders she focused on them and it brought so much relief. I wasn't gonna mention my shoulders bc last time the therapist didn't really want to focus there, but Brianne did and she made me feel worlds better. She did as much as she could for my hips, but over all, the shoulders needed it far more. My husband and I talked about if we had any complaints what would it be. My literal only complaint was that laying my face in the circular pillow thing on the table was a little uncomfortable. I didn't bother asking to change it or put down a towel or anything. I'm positive Brianne would have done so immediately, but I was too engrossed in the massage to even scratch my nose let alone stop it for a more comfortable face rest. 10/10 would recommend, and I'm pretty sure future trips to JA will be at the Springfield location. Loved the experience! Arrival: Glad I read the reviews & got there 30 min early! It gives you enough time to change & go to a cute little serene room where you get a complimentary foot soak with the option of lavender or eucalyptus epsom salt. In addition, they offer you water, juice, mimosas or champagne. I enjoyed a mimosa while I soaked my feet in the warm water. It was a great way to start off the experience & put me in a relaxed mood. After about 20 -30 min, my masseuse Jamie came and got me for my service (she was also my esthetician for my facial). Loved the massage, she asked what kind of pressure I would like and explained everything ahead of time. The massage was great, very serene, almost fell asleep several times. The warm bed was perfect & can be adjusted at any time to fit your preference. I also loved the hot towels she used throughout the massage!
After my massage I was taken to the brine room where they have a Himalayan salt fountain and snacks ( the homemade chocolate chip cookies were delish!), so Jaimie could set up for my facial. After about 10 min she came back to get me for my facial. The brine room was a nice & relaxing and perfect for in between services.
The facial was also great, I loved the chest and arm massage that comes with it & the steam mask treatments throughout! Jaimie also was very informative & gave me product suggestions to help me get my skin care routine back on track. After the facial, I had the option of relaxing in the brine room again, which I chose to do since I was super relaxed and a little tired after my services. While there, I laid back and enjoyed another mimosa. Overall this was a great experience!! I will definitely return!! I typically go to a different spa in West Chester, but this will be my new go to & it’s a lot closer!! Also, I’d like to add that the locker rooms were great & equipped with everything you might need like toiletries, hair products & even contact solution!
