Update. Just bought a bag of frozen soup from there which I regret going there all the time anyway but I figured I'd give it a shot because it's frozen I'm posting a picture of the Frozen soup in a bag. I say again I just bought this last week the date today is October 25th 2024. Oh yeah and at that time I literally watched them pull the old labels with the dates on them off the meat they had in the cooler case in the morning and put new labels on them with different dates I spent $200 I'm supposedly very good steaks have them cut 2in thick. For some reason the guys were looking at the meat that I bought and told me to pick a number another one they were talking in Spanish so I couldn't understand them so I picked another one got home and it stunk so bad I was bringing it back the next day I put it in my freezer until I can bring it back my whole freezer stunk so bad it was rotten meat I'll never go here again. Okay haven't been there in a long time I went to grab something simple and ended up grabbing what I thought was going to be a piece of the pie because I know Eddie's has very good pies brought it home tonight my son open it up tasted the frosting or whipped cream on top and said it tasted funny so you looked at the date on the box and it is...

This is especially true for lower income buyers on food stamps. The Meat Outlet accept EBT food stamp cards from various states including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and New York State. What this means for you, if your household relies on state help but you are not a resident of Massachusetts, then you aren't out of luck because they gladly welcome your state's EBT card to help your household afford more for less money.
My only gripe is that it becomes extremely crowded in this market place and the aisle aren't very wide so you might imagine shopping here, especially in the early half of the month. The store isn't very large by supermarket standards so getting around will try your patience. But as long as you can deal with other rude customers and keep your cool, you might save about 25-50% off supermarket prices. I purchased filet mignon at 4.40lb at a time when my local Shoprite in CT had prices near $7/lb. A dozen eggs were .49 cents; my local market 1.99. Chicken tenders were 1.39lb when my local market had them at 2.69/lb. (Date 6/14/2016)
Here is a tip for lower income buyers from out of state. Arrange a small shopping club once or twice a month among your family & friends and travel there by mini-van or SUV. Split the fuel/gas expensive to drive out there among the buyers so it isn't unfair to the driver. By doing so, your savings are not wasted at the gasoline pump and everyone wins.
Read moreDuring holiday season, call first! Last min, my kids said "Sure Ma, bring a prime rib roast!" I checked online, and they still had only their regular hours posted. I got there at 3:50, by the skin of my nose! They were closing early at 4! I was able to get a beautiful prime rib roast, already trimmed and packaged! Ever since they did the renovation to make the store bigger, I've been extremely happy on most visits. You still get the occasional person who blocks the way for everyone else, or decides to go against the carriage traffic, but the quality of their various meats, and their prices are hard to beat! I have yet to encounter a rude employee! Everyone's helpful & nice! Other than Aldi's & PriceRite, for the majority of my food needs, 90 Meats aka The Meat Store is my joint for meats, frozen foods, desserts, and the assorted gems(items close to their expiration dates) they always offer at ridiculously low prices! The last few times I've been there, they have supplied free plastic bags! 4 Stars because there's always room for...
