Most inept company I have ever experienced. Twice. The first time was bad, the second has been a 3-week ongoing nightmare with no end in sight. Ever.. If you have a brain in your head, run don’t walk away from them. giving even one star is more than is deserved.
Reply to Carmichael: After I talked to Tyla, not sure of the spelling, I called Customer Service at Speed Queen. Very friendly gal answered, , I explained my problem, and gave her the part number that I repeated twice as I copied it. She chuckled, said she’d check, and was back on the line in less than 2 minutes. She was really laughing by now because they don’t make anything with that part number; their numbers are much longer. Where Greg got that number I have no idea, but it doesn’t exist. She recommended a business in Beavercreek. I called, left a message, and they called first thing the next morning. Yes, they could get the part, no problem. In 2weeks, you never once called to let me know what was going on. If I hadn’t called you, I’d be twisting in the wind forever. No apology . Didn’t it seem strange to you that a new washing machine less than 21/2 years old would have a part that they don’t make? There is no reason you couldn’t have done what I easily did. Take some responsibility. Just once. Stop blaming. Take responsibility
In the summer of 2022, I purchased a dishwasher from you. A part was missing, so I came back the next day to get it and was told by the woman who sold it to me that I didn’t buy a dishwasher there. She kept insisting I was wrong, blaming me, until I pulled out the receipt. No apology for implying I was lying. Getting it installed was a nightmare. I can’t stand dealing with people who take no pride in their work or business, and blame everyone else for their shortcomings.I don’t care what you say. These have been MY experiences. People with me witnessed these events. I was never alone, and when it was a phone conversation it was on speaker. It’s pointless to discuss this further. Say what you will, I don’t care. Time will bear me out. A BBB rating might have helped you, but you don’t have one. After reading those reviews, I see...
Read moreWe called to have our washer diagnosed and repaired. When I placed the service call, I gave them my wife's phone number, and told them to call her the morning of the appointment. What did they do? They called my number, I missed it, so we were forced to reschedule. On the second appointment, again they called me, I wasn't available, but the tech (Michael) did call my wife and came out. Why is it so hard for your company to make work orders clear, or for the techs to follow simple instructions? Michael said it was a bad pump, quoted the price, and said it would be about a week. Move forward to today, and two different techs showed up, and after removing the back cover, discovered the washer was in fact no good (had additional problems). So what did the first tech do? What really irritated me, was when the younger tech said I still needed to pay a service call fee of $100. I'm sorry, but I'm not paying for your failed services after we've had to use a laundromat over someone's laziness (or incompetence). When I stated this to the tech, it was almost like a threat when be says: "oh you're going to pay this fee". I immediately contacted the store, stated my case, and they did void the fee (hence 2* over 1*), but they were about as cheerful as mud to talk to. Had Michael (the original tech) taken the time to truly inspect the machine, this all could have been avoided, I could have saved money, your time, and already had a new washer here.
If Michael would have been here today to put the ordered part in, he would have hit me with additional fees, and we'd still still be without a washer today. The older Tech today stated it was leaking grease and the belt was no good; that did not happen sitting idle and unplugged.
I wish your company well, but i do not recommend Carmichael's at all, nor will I request their...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. We called to get a quote about converting our stove and I was told $75. I specifically asked if that included labor and was told yes it’s a flat $75. When my husband dropped it off, he was told he would be called Monday for an estimated time of completion. Wednesday rolls around and still no call. I called and was told the guy was on lunch and they’d call me back in 30 min. Still no call back 2 hours later. I called again and was told the same thing. Next day, still no call. I called again and was told I’d be called in an hour and a half. This time they did call back just to tell me the part was still on it’s way and they’d fix it the next day when it came in. They called my husband the next day to come pick it up. He picked it up and then was charged $146. I called them that same day and told them I was quoted $75 and was told the owner would call me back the following week. All week, no call go figure. So I called just now and was told they let go of the girl who probably quoted me that price. I asked what they were going to do to fix it and she told me that “I have a hundred people call me everyday telling me they were quoted a lower price just to not pay as much.” I am FURIOUS. For one, your customer service is AWFUL. For two, I know for a fact the girl that is still answering the phones is the same girl that quoted me $75. And for three, I’m not just trying to get a cheaper price. We would’ve fixed it ourselves for the $20 part had I known it was going to be that much. Would NEVER recommend Carmichael’s for ANYTHING. Rude staff that never calls back and quotes you wrong prices then accuses you of just trying to get a cheaper price. I don’t think I’d be calling so many times if that...
