Just B Prom — Local services in Springfield

I just want to start off by saying I’m very disappointed. I got my prom dress last year, and it was fine; I spent around $900 on the dress. I went again this year, and the staff were very rude. I went to Just B on three different occasions. The first time I went with my friends, they crammed three of us into one room and were very unorganized. The staff didn’t help any of us. One of my friends is a very petite girl, and the Just B staff told her, “We don’t clip,” then come to find out they clipped another petite girl at my school. I’ve heard from multiple moms and girls that Just B does not accommodate all body types. Then, when we were about to leave, one of the Just B staff came up to us and explained, “Our dresses are for more mature girls,” and that my friend should shop in the juniors' section (we were all 18). The second time I went, I went with another group of girls, and the Just B staff was rude again. This is so upsetting because I had a fine time getting a dress for my junior prom. The Just B staff came up to one of my friends and asked if she was going to come back with her mom, as if she couldn’t pay for it herself. I didn’t think that was appropriate for a staff member to say because you never know someone’s home situation. The third time I went, I went with my mom because I thought they would treat me a little better. I was mistaken. They were so rude; I was sitting in a changing room unclothed for 15 minutes waiting for a dress I asked for. I just left after that because I had enough. I went to another prom dress store after being at Just B. It was so good; when I left after paying for my dress, I saw a girl who was at Just B with me, and she was crying because of the experience she had at Just B. I’ve heard from multiple people afterwards that Just B staff is very rude and i think this should be addressed especially when young lady’s come to the store looking to buy...

Season 2022We went on a Saturday in prom season, the place was very busy, however , the staff were phenomenal, they were on point, warm, helpful, and very attentive to everyone needs. They offer Alterations service and are prompt and well done. I will definitely be back for our next formal event.

Season 2023. (Just call me Karen) The experience started similar this year, but the service was a major disappointment. They were pushy, rude, and were rushing everyone. No one was manning Changing area, to the point other customers are helping young ladies tie, and zip dresses( I've seen less chaos back stage of a fashion show) . While wearing the dress she was going to say yes to, after 3 hours and 23 dresses ( price of dresses range from$300,.00 to $960.oo plus tax) . She wanted to check the length, see if it was chaffing to arms, sit and move in the dress, and of course stand at the riser and be awwed over, before making her financial investment. However this year the staff were clip , snapped at her, pushy, and were the reigning champions of the stank face. Needless to say they put her close tears. The dress selection are fire . We found most of the designers and dresses we have been looking at online..... But this year.... Just B , wasn't bringing the A game. Ps. I once bought a $700.00 outfit I never wore, just because the women at the boutique, made me feel like a queen. Sometimes it is about the experience more...

Went there with my daughter. Upon entering I was greeted and told that due to it being later in the season that all their dresses are at special prices. Some dresses had tags and others did not. I found a dress for my daughter with no price and the sales associate said she could do it for the special price of 318$ because it was from the floor. It ended up being the dress my daughter liked, but the fabric had 3 pulls in the back. So it was flawed. I asked if she could go cheaper and she came back with the price of $275. I thought because it was presented as discounted, that it had to of been WAY more than what i was told. We ended up buying it. I came home and looked at the website and the dress sells for $298! I don’t think the 3 flaws is worth a 20$ discount! I could get the same dress delivered to me next week for $298 flawless! While the staff was very friendly, I’m incredibly disappointed that they acted like they were doing us a favor selling a $298 dress for $318. If you go here check online before you buy. They seem to up the actual cost of these dresses. My daughter has a couple more proms she will be attending over the next couple years. We will not...
