Went into the store Saturday. Gathered my items I had already added my digital coupons to my phone before I came. I entered my phone number at check out. And by the way the cashier never asked about coupons or did I need to my phone number in and from past experience if you don’t know your supposed to enter the number before they hit total on the register there’s no way to get your coupons added to your purchase. !!! UNLESS you haven’t completed your sale you can refuse to complete the purchase. IF after you have completed the purchase and are looking at your receipt when you see what happened. They say can’t do anything about it. Well I can return everything. Ok. The rules the night I had this happen was. I could return everything. I just couldn’t reshop the items afterwards. Now what would that matter to him?? I left the store. Called corporate and that’s not true what he said. They say the cashier is supposed to ask you if you had coupons or if you need to put your number in. Most of the cashiers waiting on me. Act like they don’t have enough energy to get up in the morning. And when out in the store don’t want you to see them or ask a question. How many stores don’t know how to give a customer a corporate number to call for help with situations like this. Any where I’ve ever worked our corporate or our customer service number was always posted where the customers and employees were aware and could see it. Not dollar general on Ashby in st Ann, mo. They wouldn’t help you get the number if they had all day and not one customer. It’s ridiculous. I need to call in the morning and they generally don’t answer the phone in the morning. So I asked if the manager could call me so I’d know what I needed to do and if she could help me. I have to drive down there to find out how we remedy this and I guess I have to pay 4 dollars a gallon for gas to go fix something that should have never happened...

Terrible experience here today. I came in at 8:00 am this morning to grab a few things and I will not be going back to this location. As I was at the register being checked out, I noticed that the dog food was not ringing up as the price listed on the shelf. There were two ladies ringing me up, one was in training and the other was guiding her on what to do. They began to tell me that I needed a digital coupon to get the dog food at a discounted price which was on the shelf. No big deal, I told them I’ll get the coupon, then ring me back up. The blonde headed older lady that was training the new employee proceed to make me feel bad that I wanted to wait and get the coupon. She said that I would have to register first, which again was completely fine with me. Then said she couldn’t wait and that I needed to move my stuff, and that was also fine, even though no one was waiting behind me. Her tone was very rude and she acted as if I was being an inconvenience to her just because I wanted a coupon. There were three people that ended up coming up and wanting to check out, so I gladly moved my stuff away so others could check out, and the blonde headed lady stated, this is an “unnecessary void” there was no need for any of that. I am a student doctor and I am on a very tight budget, so if I can get a little bit of a discount I want it. There’s no need to make someone feel bad about it. She was incredibly rude, the girl with dark hair that was being trained very very nice and didn’t say one thing rude to me, just want to make that part clear. The blonde lady was unprofessional and I will not be going back to this location...

This Dollar General and their employees really are inconsiderate. Why would you neglect children to go into your store and buy something? Ok, some kids steal, but it's not the rest of the kids fault. Why punish all for something that some do. Maybe there should be more surveillance on the floor, and either way, there's never always someone at the cash register, they're always stocking. Who's fault is that? You don't know if those children you neglect entrance too need school supplies that their parents won't or aren't able to get them in the moment. Maybe a dinner that they go home and eat alone because parents are working. This really infuriates me. You never know how it feels till it's one of your own. I'm sure you can't neglect entrance to kids without a valid and true reason for each and one of them. Y'all need...
