Brew & Bites Café — Restaurant in St. Ann

I walked in at 5:05pm. I was told sorry but we are closed. Even though there were people sitting in eating. I decided to call and see if they were truly close and if I could place an order over the phone. Over the phone I was told they were open and could take my order over the phone. Not sure the reason I was denied in person. I could make assumptions but I won't do that. I won't go where I'm not wanted. So this is one potential customer loss.

Update. Business claims they were closing early for an event. They close at 6 and it was 5:05 when I walked in. How were you closing early if you were still going to take my order over the phone at 5:20? Also the lady at the counter made it clear that they were closed. Not doing Togo orders only, closed. I bet a million dollars it was the same one who answered the phone as well. This is just an attempt to save face after being caught discriminating...

Vibes are good and the food is mid. I really want to like this place as a Latina woman but every time I go—I am disappointed. I would definitely keep driving if you are going here for your lunch and they are busy. They do not have any sort of time management here.

Edit: we were upon the first to arrive( before the group of high schoolers), told the cashier we were placing two different types of orders (a dine in and a take out). There is simply no reason it should’ve taken an hour to get me my to go food. There is no excuse and if anything you just proved my point of having awful time management. Everything about this cafe is absolutel perfection, from the delicious flavors of the food to the wonderful coffee options you won't be sorry you stopped in!!
