I used to love going to this park as a child, but nowadays this park is very strange. Every once in a while* I like to visit the park and enjoy the sun & nice weather, enjoy some lunch or dinner in my vehicle, & do some reading or check my phone. But it is really weird in recent years when you can't help but notice on a regular occasion strange cars driving around very slowly and almost in a stalking manner where ever I am parked when I visit this place. Same goes for the "park rangers" up there that also seems to follow you around the place to where you're parked and act like they are picking up trash in a bucket, but will walk up to your car and start peeping inside/around your car while you're eating, etc. - and they make it painfully obvious, too.
Not to mention this park has seemingly close to 50+ cameras all around the bathrooms, picnic table areas, and hidden on streetlamps.
like, I get wanting security cameras for safety reasons at a park, but this place seems a bit ridiculous and overkill in that regard needless to say being in a nice suburb.
Overall this park always provides an uncomfortable & unwelcoming atmosphere every...
Read moreThe 2 playgrounds for kids were recently updated which include swings. Its always beautifully maintained and you never see any trash. It has a nice tennis court, as well as a roller hockey rink. There are picnic benches throughout the park to sit and have a picnic while you look out at the beautiful pond where you can watch the geese and the people who walk the trail with their dogs. They also have a gorgeous outdoor pool which is open in the summer and an indoor one as well but not sure about the hours. Non memebers/residents pay a little fee. They also now have the book borrowers that I see popping up every where that kind of resemble a bird house until you get up close. You can donate books or borrow them. So you can sit on one of the many benchs and enjoy a good book, people watch, walk the trail around the lake, use the sports facilities or just take your kids on the new jungle gyms. This park has it all, including a memorial with a piece of old war memorabilia. Great park and I love how its always mantained so well. I also like it because its never crowded like certain other parks in St. Louis. It's one of St. Ann's best...

Sports enthusiasts can enjoy facilities such as a soccer field, baseball area, tennis courts, volleyball area, and a roller skate rink. For families, the park provides playgrounds and children’s slides, a picturesque pond, and paved walking trails ideal for leisurely strolls. Numerous covered picnic areas equipped with tables and benches make it a perfect spot for gatherings. Currently, a water park featuring a sizable slide is under construction; however, details about an accompanying pool remain unclear. While restrooms are available, they close at the end of the season, which may be inconvenient for some visitors. The park offers ample parking and is dog-friendly, welcoming pets on leashes. Maintenance is managed by dedicated staff and handymen, but for improvements, contacting the city is necessary, though responses may not be immediate. Overall, the park provides a peaceful setting for families to engage in physical activities and enjoy...
