This place is absolutely amazing you can bring a picnic and walk the trail learn about Missouri and at the same time do some Fishin. There's free museums and they are top notch a lot of activities to do a lot to see there's a driving Museum where you can drive through the park and see how the past residents live their lives. The trout range from as small as a minnow to his large as I have ever seen. For a few dollars you can even cast pole and catch a few. Wow there you should definitely take a minute to go into the museum and watch the short film on divers who went into the Meramec cave. Simply Amazing. At one point, you can see the water swirling up from the bottom of the creek. There are "gumball" machines that provide a handful of fish food for a quarter. Toss a couple of food pellets into the water and watch the fish churn the surface. If you want to do some fishing, walk downstream a short distance. My personal favorite is getting to see and feed the fish. The old cast iron forge was incredible to see, and if you look closely you can see Slag from back in the day.
