This place is absolutely amazing you can bring a picnic and walk the trail learn about Missouri and at the same time do some Fishin. There's free museums and they are top notch a lot of activities to do a lot to see there's a driving Museum where you can drive through the park and see how the past residents live their lives. The trout range from as small as a minnow to his large as I have ever seen. For a few dollars you can even cast pole and catch a few. Wow there you should definitely take a minute to go into the museum and watch the short film on divers who went into the Meramec cave. Simply Amazing. A little tip from a guy who's been there a million times. Bring cat...

This fish hatchery has so many BIG trout! It's in the Maramec Springs, and there's a path that circles the hatchery. At one point, you can see the water swirling up from the bottom of the creek. There are "gumball" machines that provide a handful of fish food for a quarter. Toss a couple of food pellets into the water and watch the fish churn the surface. If you want to do some fishing, walk downstream a short distance. This is worth a trip to see, I would guess, thousands of fish from small fry size to huge ones, bigger than any trout I've caught. The whole area has a serene beauty that you...

I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THIS PLACE! INCREDIBLE!! family friendly or fine for a solo trip. $5 a car is a steal for all the activities you can do. My personal favorite is getting to see and feed the fish. The old cast iron forge was incredible to see, and if you look closely you can see Slag from back in the day. If you like fishing they have places for that too. A small museum with interesting info, and interactive exhibits. Camp grounds as well and just a whole lot of cool history! Beautiful photo spot, or just a quiet place to think or draw. I look forward to going back the...
