Unfortunately, I am not able to leave any stars. I went in for a consultation for my wedding dress in May and initially Toi and her team were very kind....in fact, they were inspirational. She seemed very hands-on and eager to make my dream wedding dress come true. I explained to her that I had been to several stores to purchase my wedding dress and I just didn't feel that they were "the one". She understood and stated that she could make my wedding and reception dress. We entered a contract for $3000 and I put $1500 down at signing. My wedding date was scheduled for September (4 months away) and I made sure to confirm that she could make the dresses by then. Three months go by and I had one fitting (I was supposed to have three by then in hopes of taking my dress home the end of July or first week of September according to the contract). I called and sent emails and got no response. She finally got in contact with me and we scheduled an appt. for September 4 (Labor Day) at noon. I don't think she realized it was a holiday because she texted me 30min. before the appt. trying to cancel. She stated that her dad was in the hospital. I told her that we have and appt. and that my wedding is in 19 days. I was very unhappy and she knew this so she decided to push the time back to 4pm. When I met with her, she had only a portion of my wedding dress finished and had no fabric or clue as to what she was going to do with my reception dress. At that time, I told her I was running out of time and would only like her to complete my wedding dress. She said okay and wrote a contract saying it was paid in full with the $1500 from the deposit. She stated that she would get me in, in another week for my LAST fitting. A week went by and she said she forgot that we had an appt. and she had to cancel. At this time my wedding was 10 days away and I did not have a dress. I told her that I would like for her to refund me some of my money and I would purchase a dress from the store. She insisted that she could make the dress. I told her no thanks and that I would prefer to buy one because I was beyond stressed and had cried way too many tears. She stopped responding to my calls and texts and never made the dress!!!! I had to spend money I did not have and purchase a dress 5 days before my wedding. She almost ruined my day. It is unfortunate that this is the story I will have to tell about my special day. I have filed a lawsuit in small claims and I am seeking to have her served. I will not lay down and allow her to steal that type of money from me. From other reviews I have read thereafter, she has done this same thing to others. We need to stop her!!! Please go after her for you money and let the public know how she conducts business. This is so wrong and people should know the gamble they are taking by doing business with Toi Box Couture LLC/ Toi...

My prom dress had me crying my eyeballs out the day before prom ! It started off “so nice” but by the end the neck line, the sleeves, and the zipper was uneven. The train wasn’t how it was supposed to be and I didn’t get it until the day before so it was basically no time to fix it ( I think that was on purpose ) . My mom texted her asking her could she fix it the day we picked it up and she didn’t want to reply so I had to text her from my phone to get her to reply (she didn’t know it was me) and she really didn’t want to fix it so she didn’t. I even paid in full atleast a month before prom and went to MANY fittings and she still did a rush job. The dress didn’t look like what I showed her at all. A waste of $1K, I thought I was getting better quality because it was more expensive than other dressmakers but nope! On top of that she only posts the dresses she did good on, she doesn’t show any of the ones she messed up (it’s so many, atleast 20 girls from the 2018 prom season have said how she messed up their prom). I wish somebody could’ve warned us because she ruined MANY proms. My hair, make up, nails and the experience are what made prom great for me. I cried so much about the dress but I made it work ... Two of my daughters were competing in the National American Miss Pageant for the 1st time and needed dresses. We decided to go with You BOX she seemed nice friendly and that we would get what we asked for for a reasonable price. We came to measurements decided on a dress and my daughter's dress would just get some bedazzling. Half way between the time it was supposed to be ready is was nervous so paid $900 at LA FORMAL because I had a feeling. I unfortunately was correct. She didn't even bother finishing the dress. And never even apologized. I would drive 88 miles just to make fittings no consideration. I'm conclusion I will not be returning and I will be filling a suit to get some of my money back since she fix not give us something no where closer to what we asked for not did she even bother to finish the dress she gave me.
