When I had to start my 2 year old son in daycare, I was very nervous. I had never heard of Dawning Point before my friend mentioned it to me. I called and spoke with a very nice lady and set up an appointment. When my husband and I went for our walk-though, it went much better than we thought it would. We were very picky about choosing a center for our "mute" child who had been with me everyday since they were born. But this center, from the time I walked in, had such a fun-loving feeling inside. While sitting in the office talking to the director, every single parent and child I saw was greeted, addressed by name and had personal conversations as if they were friends. I loved seeing how this center felt more personal, like a big family, more than just a business. I was happy with all the rooms, teachers and the building in general. But my favorite part of the tour was meeting all the nice teachers. I'm a very bubbly and happy person and I received the same kind of personality from everyone I met. Needless to say my son has transformed since starting this center. I drop him off every morning knowing that he is genuinely loved and is in the best possible care. My family and I could not be happier with making the decision to enroll in...
Read moreMy two daughters were in a different daycare where they were not treated very fairly.... upon a incident that happened to my daughter that required medical attention and the other center being report, we learned about dawning point. They have highly recommend from numerous teachers in Stafford County Public Schools. After touring Dawning Point and meeting the staff, I knew that they would be a great place for my daughters. They have been going to dawning point for a year now and if there is every a question they call me. They have an open door policy and want feedback as well as give feedback. My three yr old knows her letters and can even write them. She comes home singing new songs every week. When I ask my 6 yr old if she wants us to drop her off at school, she would rather take the bus from dawning point. As an educator in the public school system for 13 years, I would highly recommend this establishment. My husband and I are also adopting a child who does not speak English and they are being more than accommodating to help in his adjustment in the upcoming months once he arrives...
Read moreI took a tour of this location today. I spoke with the teacher on the phone in the early AM - she was very well spoken and polite. Seemed very knowledgable. I arrive for my tour and am shown around by the "lead" teacher for the 4yr old room. She frequently referred to things using terms like, "up in here" and other border line Ebonics phrasing. The entry way to the facility was dirty, the carpet in the office was ripped to shreds and filthy. The areas in the classrooms were pretty much the same. Cabinets looked filthy, kids chairs black with dirt that hadn't been cleaned in years, by the back doors to the playground (inside the classroom) were piles of leaves and dirt that had been drug in from the outside. There were a few teachers that looked older and well experienced, spoke nicely and seemed really on top of things. Then there were some rooms that the teachers looked to be only 19 yrs old. Due to all of the above mentioned we will not enroll our two children here but...
