UPDATE July 2025 (A couple of months after my last visit/review): Came in for another try at lunch time. This time there were ladies working and making the food and the experience was much different, better. The service was similar, it was decent, but the food tasted so much better this time! The naan was made better... The chicken Karahi was very nice and spiced just about perfectly. The chutney was really good, as I recall it was the last time. Their salad was very fresh and a nice addition to the curry. Overall, I enjoyed this visit so much more and the spice and flavors are what set Pakistani food apart (and make it sooo much better than) Indian food! I know that might not be a popular comment, but it's true and those who know the difference will be happy to hear this and give this place a try! (Though I will say - they should probably play some music in the dining room, not kid's TV and having their kids in the lobby arguing and fighting with each other while watching cartoons... it's a business afterall) __________________________________________________________ I love Pakistani food and know a lot about it, so when this place opened and took over the previous ‘kabob’ joint I came to try it. The guy who seems to own it was friendly and their menu has some of the basic kabobs and curries. I tried their chapli kabob with chick peas and naan. Their naan wasn’t very good, it was way too dense. The flavor of the chapli kabob was great, it was tender and had nice spices to it as well. The chick peas were also solid, definitely enjoyed those as well. Their chutney (green yogurt style) was really good as well. Overall, the food didn’t have a lot of heat, so it would appeal to many. The venue was just ‘ok’ but nothing special. The entire time I was there, no one else came in… so I hope they do what they need to survive.

My family and I went to kohinoor tonight! We had a very plesant experience! The Chapli Kabobs were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Karahi was absolutely delicious—rich, authentic, and full of bold spices. We also tried their butter chicken, seekh kabob, samosas and kheer. Everything was delicious. The restaurant itself was very clean and tastefully decorated, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff were welcoming, and the owner and chef were both incredibly kind and attentive. A special shout-out to Afsha for her warmth and hospitality, she truly made us feel at home. I along with my family highly recommend for anyone craving real desi flavors to check out this place!

My mom and I had a lovely lunch here. The owners are were extremely welcoming. Family owned and operated. The couple made our food, it was so hot and fresh, they served us personally. We had chicken kebab which came with a full plate of rice and a side of chickpeas (very LARGE portions) we also got chicken and vegetable samosas, and this super yummy pastry made with potato and vegetables.... literally melted in your mouth. The taste is absolutely delicious so flavorful. We got one order and split it between the both of us for lunch and we're able to take leftover portions home for dinner 🤘 You guys have to check them out.... They truly cook from the heart 💕

We stumbled upon Kohinoor Halal Restaurant on Yelp and were thrilled to find it right in North Stafford. Our visit was nothing short of delightful, and we couldn't believe we hadn't discovered this gem sooner! The restaurant boasts a spacious and beautifully decorated interior, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The customer service was exceptional, with the owners eagerly answering our questions about the menu. When the food arrived, the quality and freshness were immediately evident, both in appearance and aroma. My wife ordered the beef kabab, which arrived sizzling on a steel hot platter, bursting with juiciness and flavor. I opted for the Chicken Korma, served in a mild curry sauce with just the right amount of spice (mine was mild and perfect). We also indulged in Aloo Paratha, a naan filled with seasoned potatoes and a delightful hint of cilantro. Our sides included Chikar Choly (curry chickpeas) and fragrant Basmati rice. To top off our meal, we saved room for some Chai and Methi Kheer, a dessert often mistaken for rice pudding or seasoned cottage cheese. The prices were very reasonable, and the portions were generous – we left with three large containers of leftovers to enjoy over the weekend. This new restaurant, only three months old, is a must-try. Check them...

We had the most fantastic meal here today! What had started as a bad day for us was completely turned around and made better by the wonderful food, atmosphere, and company provided at this family owned restaurant. The food is fresh, rich in flavor and spices, well seasoned and balanced; the environment is clean and comfortable, plenty of space for families or groups of friends to gather for a meal. The variety and pairings are excellent, from the drinks to the food to the desserts. Not only were we treated to flavorful food, but also delighted to be indulged with good company and conversation. We recently moved here and have been struggling to find our comfort foods, but here we found all that and more. The hospitality and kindness we were shown made us feel incredibly welcome and happy to have found such a wonderful spot to eat. I sincerely recommend this restaurant to any and all who value freshness, flavor, and quality in their meals. We shall definitely be returning again,...
