My lawnmower broke down a week ago and I needed a place for repairs. I remember seeing in the local Shoppers Guide that Standish Hardware had a repair center for small motors, lawnmowers, etc. I decided to give them a shot and I brought my mower to them. I met Mark when I arrived and he immediately looked at the issues. My concern was whether it was better to repair or replace the mower. They estimated the repairs would cost a little over $100 (one part was $30 alone). Labor was $50/hr. After getting the parts, it took one day for my mower to be working again. Picked it up yesterday and finally got the lawn mowed. Mark did a great job and the price was right in line with what I was told. Read moreI have been happy to get what I need here instead of driving in to Windham; prices are only a few cents higher than Lowe's for most products, and the customer service and layout here are excellent. Every employee I have interacted with is pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. Bathroom renovations, drywall work, electrical supplies... they have almost everything here. When they don't have a product, they tell you the nearest store you can go to get it.

Read moreI've been a long time customer of Standish Hardware. The people are great. I do take issue with thier cavalier attitude regarding covid 19 and wearing a mask. No one wears a mask (except for ONE time I saw a woman employee wearing one) at Standish Hardware The mask is to protect their customers (not them).
