I would never wish anyone the experience i’ve had during an emergency room visit at this hospital.

My husband & i were pulling into our yard from an outing but decided to come home early as i wasn’t feeling well. Once we pulled in he walks over to my passenger side door to help me out when i started to have that feeling of throwing up. I went unresponsive. When i gained conscious, i looked at my husband crying with his mouth open. He pauses and tells me i just had a seizure. As someone who has never a seizure in my life i’m sure you could imagine how we both must have felt. He gets back in the car and zooms to Lake Butler Emergency Room. As soon we go inside tells them the reason for my visit. The nurse then walks over to “Doctor” Noel Braseth telling him i had a seizure. Being four feet away from him sitting in his chair relaxing, my husband heard him say “tell them to go to Shands”. Inside this E.R there was one other patient who we saw he was treating and just myself. No one else. The nurses then guide me to a bed not far from said doctor. My husband is consoling me while i’m waiting but terrified that i would have go into convulsion again at anytime. The mystery of not knowing is what lead me into having an anxiety attack while waiting. As the nurses are performing an ekg on me i asked a different nurse if i am going to be ok just for some reassurance. Her response was and i repeat “I don’t know. I don’t have a crystal ball.” Hearing that made me feel even more terrified for what could happen. As i’m sitting there we could hear the doctor a foot away talking into a recorder of some sort about his current patient who went in for allergies. Feeling ignored and in terrible pain we decided to leave where i later did go to Shands. Not only did Shands go above & beyond for me but this man could never compare.

Edit: a very respectful & empathetic woman from the hospital reached out to me. She was genuinely concerned about my visit there & assured me this was going to be taken care of. I will be receiving a few papers soon in the mail to take action and report said “doctor” as well as the nurse. Exceptional Care & Comfort for My Anxious Child! This past weekend, my 9-year-old daughter chipped her tooth at a park, and we rushed to Lake Butler Hospital ER since it was the closest. As any parent knows, a trip to the ER can be stressful—especially for a child with anxiety.

From the moment we walked in, the process was unbelievably fast—hands down the smoothest ER experience I've ever had. But what truly stood out was the kindness, patience, and compassion of the staff. They not only took excellent care of my daughter but also explained everything in a way she could easily understand, which helped her feel calm and reassured.

Because of their incredible communication and gentle approach, she had zero anxiety the entire weekend and was completely at ease when we saw the dentist on Monday. That level of care made all the difference for us.

I can't say enough great things about Lake Butler Hospital's ER team—thank you for turning a stressful situation into a positive and comforting experience! 💙

We've had numerous experiences with this hospital for 3 different family members,through their swing bed program, and the staff truly treated my family as their own during their extended stays. Most recently we took my daughter to the emergency room on her birthday. Because she had been feeling bad and truthfully. We just needed to find out if she was contagious as well as if it was something that needed antibiotics. We found out she got Covid, and wouldn't be able to attend the event we had planned for the weekend.But her sweet nurse( I didn't get her name🤦‍♀️) was so kind through the whole visit, and when she had to deliver the bad news She came with a printed birthday banner for my girl with her name on it, AND a handmade card, with twelve dollars, for her twelfth birthday🥹💜, how thoughtful!
