I'm editing this review because they clearly don't understand what my review was actually about so let me explain: I made a review stating (Before you decide to go to this gym be VERY aware, 1: to cancel you must pay $250 to do so and 2: if your first payment is on the 1st then you will always be charged on the 1st, so if your late to make a payment and you decide you want to pay on the 15th you will still have to pay on the 1st and occasionally pay a $25 maintenance fee. The people who go to this gym are usually very friendly and the gym is visually pleasing but PLEASE actually read that contract before you sign!) Now anyone who uses context clues would understand and be like ok this guy is warning us by telling us to read that contract, making us aware of what we're getting ourselves into before we sign knowing that, he must have done the opposite and must've not read the contract. The whole point of the review was to make people VERY aware of what their signing. NO WHERE in this review did I say, I read the contract. I'm warning people to not do what I did and read it. The reason I'm editing this is because today I decide to head to the gym, well as I'm walking in people opened the door for me so I just walked in instead of scanning my key fob to get in. (which is what many other people would do) As I'm walking to get my workout in some guy who works there, walks up to me and ask, Is your name Noah? I say yeah, well the problem I have about that is I didn't scan my key fob so he just remembered my face. He also had this face on him like he was mad or was going to do something. He says, would you mind if we have a talk before your workout I say yeah because I mean you already stopped me. We go up to the counter and he starts taking about how I owe them my monthly payment and I reply with, I already paid. Then he go's on about the maintenance fee, and at that point I just flat out ask, This is about the review isn't it? And he's like, yeah, well we take our reviews very seriously. and then I follow up with, do I have to delete my review for you guys to not harass me, he reply's with I'm not harassing you. which is exactly what he was doing. You should not go up to someone in the middle of the gym and stop them because you believe they owe their monthly bill in which you did not double check before actually approaching. This tells me he did NOT stop me for what he said he stopped me for and instead stopped me about the review. Which is extremely unprofessional. and sure you can say, oh well how would he be able to check if he didn't get your name, well if you have a suspicion that someone is somebody who owes a bill you should look that person up see if they do owe a bill, check the photo (in which they do have) make sure it matches and then approach. What he did WAS harassment. I was actually going to delete my review because I though maybe I was harsh but because he did what he did I will not delete it, also YOU should NOT be publicly disclosing the payment status of anyone in a google review, This is highly illegal. The whole point of my review was to make people aware of what the contract says. The reason for me making such a bad rating is because $250 for the cancelation fee is outrageous. I know gyms that also have a 12 month contract and their cancelation fee is like 50 bucks which is at least reasonable. Again the people who go to this gym are usually very friendly and the gym is visually pleasing. but harassment is not something people pay for, lol. I understand I should've read the contract but I didn't find this out until now and I want to make people aware, to prevent them making the same mistake I did. When I was speaking with the guy (sorry I don't know his name) He even said, oh well I talked to you about the contract when you signed up, which Is false because when I came in for the first time there was someone else there and all he did what hand me my key fob and a t-shirt. I would not be writing this if you didn't make my payment status public...
