Coffee House Diner — Restaurant in Statesville

On this past Saturday morning, yself and 2 others went to have breakfast here. We arrived@ 9:48. After waiting for about 10 minutes, a table was finally cleared off so we could be seated. We sat for awhile waiting for our server to come take our order. Finally (after waiting another 15 minutes) our server came took or drink order. She promptly returned with our drinks, and took our order. It is now 10:17, ok cool I'm thinking it won't be long since we only ordered a foot long and fries, grilled chicken club with hasbrowns, and a Philly cheese steak with hash browns. We waited and watched others that came after us, get their orders, eat and leave. By 11:15 we still hadn't heard anything from our server(actually she was no where to be found) and still no food. So when a guess of our party went to inquire what the problem was, another server said she would find out what was happening. Come to find out our food had been sitting there waiting on a server to bring it to us. By then the food was cold, our order was incorrect, and the hash browns was hard and burned. The second server offered to take the food back and refix it, but because of her attitude we decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. But wait this is the shocker, the server told us our bill was almost$24.00. For what only thing we got was 2waters and a mixed tea. Wow we will not be returning anytime soon. NOT UNLESS...

Waited an hour on call in order .asked to verify order correct when received.i should of checked but trusted cashier when they verified but she just said ya your ranch is in there n yea I. Was charged for it but it was not there came n got it on a 10 min work break n couldnt leave to go back.should of checked for accurate before i left but they were busy n had a line n i was in a hurry to get back to work.livermush was in tiny piece in tray instead of a slab piece.hashbrowns had cheese n onion n correct but undercooked n raw and toast was ice cold.ranch not included and asked 4 times thru order process for ranch.lady who took order extremely rude.i understand they busy due to holiday n short staffed.called to see if ready after 1 hr n said it should be done in 5 min.it should of been hot n not cold when i got it.it had sat for a while.livermush cold n soggy.cashier when got there very rude.no thank you no have a nice day no merry christmas.i wont be back.horrible food...

This is one of our favorite places to have breakfast. Unfortunately, their hours of operation have been reduced (staffing shortage) and they are closed on Mondays and only open from 6am to 2pm the rest of the week. While in the area today, we had the opportunity to have breakfast. The menu has changed (not much) and the prices have increased (as with every other restaurant) not complaining, just making a statement. They have changed their coffee brand. Not as good as what was served prior to the changes. Our orders were prepared as ordered and served hot. Our waitress was top notch and never let the coffee cups get close to empty/cold. The cook did a superb job. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but considering there was one cook and one waitress (when we arrived), they did a great job. Hopefully, the restaurant will return to their regular 24 hour schedule soon...if they can find...
